Welcome! Columbus is less than 30 miles from Madison, Wisconsin, and is located on five major highway corridors: Highways 151, 73, 89, 16 and 60.
Shop, Tour & Discover Columbus. Columbus is one of a few cities in Wisconsin that offer Amtrak service daily. Lamars Express now provides daily bus service between the Columbus Amtrak station and Madison, as well as the Fox Valley. The bus departs Madison (the University of Wisconsin-Madison Memorial Union) daily at 2 PM with a 2:30 stop at Truckers Inn truck stop in DeForest and arrives in Columbus at 3:05 PM. Lamars also travels north of Columbus with stops in Beaver Dam, Waupun, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Appleton and Green Bay.
