Welcome to the City of Deerfield Beach!

Located on the beautiful east coast of southern Florida in Broward County. With a population of 76,000 residents Deerfield Beach is the tenth largest city in the county.

This city is a vibrant coastal community named for the numerous deer that once roamed the area. Within Deerfield Beach’s 15 square miles of land lies a unique mix of urban and suburban living complete with a well-balanced indus- trial and commercial population.

The northernmost city in Broward County is home to Florida Atlantic University Research Center, People’s Trust Insurance, JM Family Enterprises, Southeast Toyota, a major Publix distribution center and other national and international businesses. There are public and private schools in the area and a world-class healthcare facility (Broward Health North Hos- pital) located south of the city.

There is a great assortment of housing located throughout Deerfield Beach, from waterfront property to suburban developments and affordable rentals.

Year round tropical weather makes Deerfield Beach one of the most attractive places in the U.S. to call “Home,” but the low cost of living is also a perk.

The city boasts about having the best waves for surfing and body boarding. Deerfield Beach is a well-known surf community. Its waterways make Deerfield Beach a boaters dream and the International Fishing Pier is an Anglers paradise.

Waterfront eateries provide the freshest seafood in Broward County and the best live music entertainment. There are acres of city parks, the Arboretum Tree Zoo and a calendar packed with free festivals and concerts year round.

The primary goals of the City’s use of social media are to increase public awareness of the City’s programs, policies and services and to maintain open, professional and responsive communications with members of the public regarding the City.

The City recognizes and appreciates the rights of all members of our online community to free speech and freedom of expression. This page and all comments posted are regularly monitored by administrators. While comments will not be edited by City personnel, a comment may not be published or may be deleted if it violates this Policy. The City reserves the right to take other actions in order to ensure compliance with this Policy.

Comments should be related to the posted topic for the social media page or post. City administered social media accounts are not meant for comments that do not directly relate to the purpose or topic of the social media website, page or post. This social media page is intended to be used for informational purposes only.
