We were traveling through the city of Long Beach and changed upon this view park. Great for bringing kids to get the wiggles out. Seems a safe location, well populated in the afternoon hours. Clean. There are two play grounds, one for 5 and under, another for 5-12 year old. Not sure if there are restrooms here.
I really like this park. They have two playground areas. One area is gated for the little ones, so parents can have peace of mind that they're kids won't run off so long as the gate is kept shut. The other area is suited more so for older kids. There is also a community pool nearby that is staffed with lifeguards.
I came here to celebrate my great niece birthday. Parking is scarce. At one point people began to double park. There are large gazebos for large groups. This park has picnic tables in shaded areas of the park. There is a large swimming pool. Thank you to the staff for keeping the facility clean. Playground: There are two playgrounds. Restrooms: The restroom is centrally located and clean Dog-friendliness: Dog owners were responsible and clean up after their dogs and kept them on their leash Picnic area: The picnic area area has a lot of shade and tables with benches.
Very nice and clean pool. I went for a pool event I saw advertised only to find out once I arrived that they didn't accept card payment. Also that children under 42 inches had to be accompanied by an adult each. I unfortunately was the only adult so all my children could not swim.
This was our 2nd time at the park..The park is beautiful, has a pool, and wildlife geese. Great park, but there are issues. 1 The park over waters the grass which results in the picnic area ALWAYS being flooded with water and mud. By the time it is dry, it's time to go and the process repeats... 2 The staff micromanages. Constant feeling of walking on eggshells... 3 you can't have your own generators, yet there's no available electrical source readily available because staff doesn't know where the key is. 3 If you're a griller you know when meat comes, so does the flies. We put up tents to to keep leaves and debry out the food from the trees and wind, here comes the staff, " tents need to be see through. Like what are you looking for. We were on the Downey street side. The office is on Del Amo. What you have binoculars. We had 1 tent that was of urethane material, which was a replacement for a damaged cover. It had a wrap around cover we planned to use to tie tents together to keep them from blowing away....they just hovered over us worse than the flies....how about posting what can and can't be done. in the park so there's less human interaction with the staff. It becomes annoying after awhile.
Great park. Newer playground equipment, pool, baseball fields and basketball courts. Perfect place to hang with the family or workout.
Very neat and clean place nice place for kids to play my son enjoyed playing here
Very nice and clean park I love this place, there is enough area for play and small size party. Also, there is a gated area for the littles and all the equipment nice and new.
Bolivar is the perfect place to hangout and let your kids play at the park. Clean equipment and restrooms. Just one more amazing park you can find only in Lakewood.
We love the mommy & me swings at the toddler park 2-5 y/o! Also love the zipping at the 5-12 y/o park! Always a good time!
