One of the best Fire Departments in the US, with Advanced EMS Ambulance service ACLS Paramedics. Response times are under 5 minutes 90% of the time, even if ambulances are busy with other calls, every Fire truck has medical equipment and trained staff to stabilize and begin treatment before the ambulance arrives shortly after. No lower quality volunteer firefighters or newly trained minimum wage private ambulance service; everyone is full time, with high education requirements and regular ongoing training.

One of their firefighters is going around bragging on tiktok about how he always leaves the disabled people behind….. super dope that you guys hire people to selectively save people based on their proposed individual worth in society…. disgusting. We thought cops were bad? Firefighters are SELECTIVELY doing the job they are paid to do for EVERYONE.
My wife, our 18 months son , and I took a walk tonight on the river walk in downtown. While my wife was taking a picture of our son , she dropped her phone . She got so upset and started crying because she has her family pictures which they live in Germany , and our only son’s videos since birth . The phone landed on the pillar underneath the bridge . There is literally no access to that pillar. I didn’t know whom to call . I told her there is a very slim chance that we might get it. We walked across the street to the Fire Department off Grand Ave and Shiawassee. A gentleman asked us if we need help , and went to talk to his crew . They were very kind , respectful and professional, they told us they will be there with tools within few minutes . Two ladies and a gentleman got there and tried so hard to get the phone without dropping it in the river since it was sitting right on the edge of the pillar. Despite the insanitary of the place , they went above and beyond laying down , leaning and squeezing their body against the bridge foundation in a very tight spaces . They worked like an amazing team and managed to get the phone . My wife started crying again out of happiness this time . Just want to say how grateful and thankful my family and I tonight and everyday for everything you guys do to the community. You guys made our night and I am pretty sure everyday you make someone else’s day too .
I don't know how you people get away with this. You said my fiance was incoherent but yet he was alert and responding just fine the only issue was his vein blew. But yet you said he was incoherent and said u had to take him in which wasn't even the plan. U took him against his will!!!
What a wonderful bunch! Ran into them in a parking lot and they approached our kiddos and gave them a tour of the truck, gave them kids helmets and a Frisbee! It was awesome. Our kids loved it and will never forget the experience they had!
what a useless fire marshal! leaving tickets on the doors of families who have disabilities that stand in the way of yard mowing. useless human being
