Our experience with the City of Raleigh Museum as our wedding venue was nothing short of incredible! From the very beginning, we were looking for a space that was open and affirming for our LGBTQ+ celebration, and the museum exceeded our expectations! Lynda, the rental manager, was an absolute gem. She not only welcomed us with open arms but helped us envision and plan our special day at the museum! Her professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication were outstanding. She went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our wedding was thoughtfully organized and executed! The venue itself was a dream come true. The City of Raleigh Museum's unique and historic charm added a distinctive touch to our celebration. The open and inviting atmosphere made it the perfect setting for our special day. Our guests were equally impressed by the venue and Lynda's hospitality. Many commented on how wonderful the space was, and we couldn't agree more. The City of Raleigh Museum provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories! For any couple seeking an inclusive and remarkable wedding venue in Downtown Raleigh, look no further than the City of Raleigh Museum. Our heartfelt thanks to Lynda and the entire team for making our wedding day truly extraordinary!
My name is Wylanda Townes I am the CEO of Y Knot Beauty Salon Inc. I had an Adult Prom here on June 24 2023. The staff was sooo helpful and very kind. I met with Linda when I was preparing everything she is a gem. I had no problems at all with my staff and party members loved the space and the atmosphere of it all was great I would like to thank Linda and the City of Raleigh Museum for allowing me to have my Event here. I will have more here if they would have me back...

I attended an Adult Prom. Very nice atmosphere. My only concern would be the floors. They are dangerous for high heels Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Anyone who loves Raleigh or is simply a history buff would love this place. It explains so much about the area, even the Native Americans who initially inhabited it.
Had my wedding reception here. Lynda and her staff were the best! If you are looking for an event space...check them out!Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+
Very small museum but nice staff and a nice exhibit.
This is a place of rich history with very informative facts of history about the city and contributors of Raleigh. A great nice friendly place in a convenient locationdowntown.
It’s a cute tiny museum that’s free to the public. It talks about the history of Raleigh, but I just wish it was bigger than just one floor.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
