Located inside Conestoga mall food court which is well connected by both metro and bus. Small museum with no admission fee. As we entered the museum we were greeted by the museum executive who explained what all the museum has to offer. Mainly focuses on encryption and data privacy.
A great experience in seeing the wonderful Music exhibit.
Small space, apparently they cycle displays every few months to work through the entire collection. Some interactive displays - I spent an hour playing vinyl records! Staff was fun and knowledgeable.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Tiny gem of a museum. I always looked at the museum from the Conestoga Mall food court but never had the chance to actually go in. Also I’d wonder who on earth puts a museum in a mall next to food lol. Until I had to go in for an exhibit for a college class. The exhibit was nice and well organized, the museum was empty that afternoon which gave me opportunity to talk to the museum curator/lovely old gentleman there. He was extremely knowledgeable and I had a great talk with him about vintage cameras. Definitely good place to hangout or checkout at least once.
Little gem hidden just off the food court at the Conestoga mall. We saw the Tales of fantasy traveling exhibit. It was in French and English. We had a nice time as a family and went through it in about an hour because we read everything. We will definitely be going back to see other exhibits!
The displays are tastefully done but the place is very tiny— smaller than most art galleries and almost smaller than some of the public washroom areas that you'd find in the bigger malls, which is disappointing given the fact that Waterloo is a city with a rich history. It is also rather ridiculous that a museum that is supposed to showcase the city's heritage is tucked away in a little corner in a mall. Waterloo deserves a museum that is really a museum.
Small museum with rotating exhibits, lots of activities for kids in most exhibits. Good for families looking for a free adventure or curious individuals. Most exhibits are interactive. Wheelchair accessible.
