Funds raised benefit City Reach. We have daily food giveaways, an annual clothing giveaway, and support foster care and senior care programs
City Reach provides services in Bradenton, Sarasota, and the surrounding areas. Our goal in forming City Reach was to reach people in need in our surrounding area with programs and services to meet their needs. Helping those in our community to stand on their own legs and succeed is the main objective of our NPO.
Currently City Reach is involved in giving groceries away to 100+ people weekly and giving away clothing on a regular basis. We are working with our local foster care organization as well as reaching out with homeless outreach programs. At City Reach we believe that our mission isn’t only to the down-and-outers but also to the up-and-outers. Those are the people whom are in the middleclass and upper-middleclass that also have needs. For these people we have formed business strategy events which allow these men and women to learn business techniques from the likes of Simon T. Bailey and many other well known business leaders. It also gives them a forum to network and brainstorm with other business professionals.
We have just instituted a brand new program that is currently focused on single mothers and women and soon single fathers called “Move a Life Forward”. The heart of this program is to help get these people out of destructive and dangerous environments and lifestyles and equip them with life, business, and parenting skills. Without our help, many of these parents will lose their children, and their families will be separated. Most of the women & mothers we have helped so far have come from homelessness or harmful situations. Through this program we are able to supply them with job training, employment, housing, life skills, and transportation. We are looking for financial assistance with this program. Your funds would go to help us provide housing for these parents and children, most of whom don’t have the security of a place to live when they come to us, as well as helping to provide transportation to things like doctor appointments, job interviews, and places like the grocery store.
