Kathleen Love, MS, L.Ac. is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics from Loyola University of Chicago’s Nursing Program in 1996. The clinical experience gained throughout Chicago’s top hospitals provide Kathleen with a solid understanding of nutrition, yet led her toward Chinese Medicine and Eastern Nutrition, which emphasize an individual approach to food based on one’s own constitution.
She continued her education and earned her Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the nationally accredited, four-year program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. This extensive training included study under Chinese, Japanese and Korean doctors, as well as published field experts at both the San Diego and Chicago campuses. Kathleen has furthered her studies in the areas of Weight Loss and Oriental Medicine, Pediatrics, and Childbirth Acupuncture, and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2003.
Kathleen enjoys working with clients on their individual paths toward wellbeing, focusing on the connection between body and spirit. She has worked along side healthcare professionals in yoga, spa, hospital, and chiropractic settings, in addition to running a private practice. Kathleen educates through private workshops in group settings, for corporations as well as elementary schools and health clinics.
She specializes in the treatment of pain, both physical and emotional. Additionally, Kathleen devotes much time to supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth, while educating expectant families as a birth doula about their choices for a healthy and inspiring delivery. She has three beautiful, busy children of her own.
To provide support and relief of pain & discomfort, utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture & bodywork, while incorporating evidence-based Nutrition science.
