A MAGICAL EMPORIUM
"I believe in building relationships, with artists and with clients. With a group of just over thirty artists exhibiting here, you will see a representation of their work continually throughout the year. Many of the artists have one Feature or Highlight Exhibit and participate in two of the three Group Exhibits each year. The CityFolk Gallery name defines my love of both Fine Art and Folk Art and how they wonderfully co-exist." ~ Karen Anderer, Owner/Curator
At the Heart of Gallery Row in Historic Downtown Lancaster, PA, you find CityFolk Gallery. The beauty and magic start with the 19th C. architecture of the building- its Ball Finial rising above its Widow's Walk over the grand Wide Stairs you enter through all encased in an old brick facade.
Just inside, in the Parlor Gallery, you feel at ease with the Art in an intimate setting- the gorgeous fireplace and mantle, original hardwood floors, coupled with Antiques to create an approachable way of viewing. Moving on to the middle room, Atrium Gallery, the sky makes its presence through the expansive soaring skylight- lovely garden items enhance the Art, while the natural light pouring in from overhead gives you a glimpse of what the Artwork will feel like in your home. Down the ramp, we descend into the Main Gallery where the Feature Artist Exhibits are held- a Purist Gallery with white walls, lots of airiness, gallery lighting, and paintings hung in the traditional Gallery fashion with more skylights for natural lighting.
***At this time, the Gallery sells only Original Artwork and does not represent any Artist who produces reproduction prints.
