Claffey And Rota Funeral Home
"Ernie Rota and Ed Claffey spent 10 years working together as embalmers with dreams of owning their own business. They opened Claffey and Rota Funeral Home in February 1956.When Ed died suddenly shortly after opening, Ernie continued their dream bringing on wife Eloise and son Bob Rota. "This business is really built on taking care of people and their families." Ernie would always say.Sadly, Bob, Eloise, and Ernie have all passed away, but the family tradition continues with Ernie and Eloise’s daughter Leslie Rota taking over and a third generation, Grandchild Suzanne Simas, keeping the family business running strong."

My mother, my beautiful mother passed this month on the 3rd. I decided to go to Claffey & Rota for her cremation and urn. Suzanne, Luce & Selene are so incredible. Selene went above and beyond her call of duty, her compassion and her patience are stunning. Aside from my mother's passing, I will forever remember Selene and the kindness she gave. She took great care of my mother's wishes, helped me get through the hardest thing in my life with such grace. I do not live in the same state but Claffey & Rota was so professional, punctual and so caring that I am proposing to have my final wishes done through them. I highly recommend Claffey & Rota for funeral arrangements.
My experiences with Claffey and Rota have been overwhelmingly positive. It's one of the last family owned and operated funeral services in an increasingly corporatized world. Mr. Ernie Rota was incredibly sensitive and helpful when arranging for the funeral of a loved one, and equally respectful and reverent at the funeral service itself. He personally attends to families, both at their homes and at the mortuary. I cannot praise Rota's enough.
My mom passed away and lived nowhere near. I was able to call not having any idea how to handle anything when it comes to the passing of a loved one. They were reasonably priced and more than helpful with not only walking me through what to but also with the viewing and cremation of my mothers remains. Its an older building with not a bunch of bells and wistles. But they took care of me and my mother more than i could have asked for. Thats worth more than any ascetics that the place may be lacking.
