In 1981, Family Church Pastor Michael D. O'neal cast a vision for a new ministry, one that would teach children to follow God completely with their lives. So, in the fall of 1982 Claiborne Christian opened its doors seeking to fulfill that mission.
At CCS, we give every student a chance to shine, and every student gets the attention their faith and future deserve. Our small size provides a safe and supportive environment in which students and their families receive highly personal and individualized attention. Our close-knit community of Christian teachers, pastors, and staff serve as role models and mentors. In a Christ-centered curriculum for Pre-K through 12th grade, students aren't a number; nor are they lost in a crowd. Everyone learns, plays, and participates together. Every student is accepted and encouraged to engage. Each is given an exceptional level of support and endless opportunities to discover their life's passion and realize their potential in Christ.
Our mission is to partner with family and church to provide an atmosphere that encourages and equips students to do the following:

- Think and act in accordance with the Bible
- And to strive for academic excellence
