Claire’s, used to be such a nice place, I had very fond memories here as a young kid now returning in my early 20s I am in shock on what Claire’s has come to in particular this Claire’s in homestead. I went in there about a year ago my experience was certainly a lot better then mine was yesterday I went this time for a piercing and the girl who did it look so nervous and scared like she never done it before so I asked if she had and she told to never ask someone who is holding a sharp object to be rude, I wasn’t being rude I was simply asking before she stuck me with the earring had she done this before. The rest of the interaction was silence Even while at checkout. Claire’s in the waterfront is going downhill and fast.
Was looking for gift for my young great-granddaughter, found very nice items. And the better surprise, major bogo.
Horrible experience with the lady at the store. Went there for 3rd ear piercing and the lady was giving all the costly option. When we asked for one we like and coincidently it was a medium rated ear ring she started ignoring us and saying I won’t go with that one as that one can cause infection- why is Claire’s selling something that can cause infection?? But we insisted on that one and clearly she didn’t want to do this and she comes back and says she can’t do the piercing and we had to drive back 30mins for nothing. Always been a Claire’s fan but I believe we are not going anytime back soon.
My children had a blast here. Got their ears pierced and didn't even cry. The girl did a good job. Hey I'm the mom with the 3 kids, who kids had fun in the store wink wink
Terrible experience, staff was rude and stand off-ish. Will never be back again.
I've come here many times. I've always gotten my ears pierced here and wanted to again. My experiences with that have always been just ok but I keep going back. I wanted to do it again, for the past few weeks. I've tried visiting. Closed to no staff. I've tried visiting again. Still no staff. I've tried again to see a new schedule. I've tried again to see that schedule has changed. I've even left work early to try and get there. And I've tried once again to see their schedule posted normally on the door just to see people confused at the entrance as to why the lights are on, no sign, but the door is locked during hours. Ticked off, I go around to other stores and come back to see a girl in there behind the counter texting, doors locked. I come back a little later and she closed and left 2.5 hours before the posted closing time. Update: I finally got it done. But after some time I noticed one piercing was hurting more than usual until I realized how horribly placed it is. Instead of going straight through the curve of the cartilage, the gun was angled very wrong and it's through the back of my ear also making the earring face sideways. It was awkward enough as we interrupted the employees laughing conversation to do this and then she went as fast as I've ever seen. With all the piercings I've gotten here the place is having a terrible employee moment and if you're thinking of going here for a one just don't. It's 10x better to go to a real shop for a few dollars more to have patience and a hospital level cleanliness and setting.
An absolute nightmare! I am an employee at another shopping store in the Waterfront mall and I was on break and decided to stop over to Claire’s never been to this location before, as I am new to Pittsburgh on my way to the door an African American woman was sitting on a bench and staring at me with a snarl on her face and I was immediately uncomfortable. I decided to go in anyway and then I was greeted by a Caucasian woman who seemed extremely pushy and rude and I could immediately tell she didn’t want me in there for whatever reason. Laziness I assume. So I began to shop around and the African American woman followed me around the entire time subtly but apparent and just straight up STARED at me shop the WHOLE time with a foul look on her face. The energy was so god awful and you can CLEARLY tell those women did NOT want to do their job today. I was so beyond uncomfortable and I am embarrassed for the owner of that location.
Was able to get some earnings for my trip..lots on sale
This place used to have such nice stuff.... now it's nothing nice and just a bunch of junk.
Such a cute place for little girl stuff. Went for stocking staffers for my granddaughters. So many cute things to choose from.
