We had the best time there. I gave the rooms four stars as we rented a cabin and the beds were a little uncomfortable. I am hoping to stay for a full week next year. The golf cart was a major plus. Everyone was so friendly. The aquaglide was great, the kiddos loved it. The bathrooms seemed to be brand new and were spotless. The kids loved doing the tie-dye. We had a great time and highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Safety: We felt very safe. Food & drinks: There are food and Ice cream trucks on sight. Noteworthy details: Staff was great.
Nice campground with clean bathhouse. The lake is nice and refreshing to swim or fish in. I enjoyed waking up and having a relaxing, quiet morning overlooking the lake. This campground is definitely a party campground, so expect noise and lots of golf carts racing around from 7 to 11. It got so bad with the dust being kicked up Saturday night I felt like I couldn't breathe. Other than that, it was a nice time!
I had a blast at twin lakes honestly it was a super fun time. Don’t let the Karen’s complaining in the reviews steer you away, especially if you own a TT or RV. The shower portion wasn’t a big deal for our group of 8 we only stayed Friday-Sunday morning so we just didn’t shower other than the lake. The bathrooms were right by our campsite and were nice and clean, clearly they are adding showers they just aren’t finished yet. The pool was a major disappointment though, not only is it the worlds smallest but it was closed when we went. Seemed expensive for lacking so many things
I've been here a few times in the last year. It's nice the lake is nice. Lake seems to be well stocked with bass, small bass tho. I like that they allow gas carts. Very big place lots of sites. My only complaint is the weekender sites are very unlevel. This last weekend I had to unhook my truck and drop the tongue of the trailer on the ground and it still wasn't enough.
Claremar Twin Lakes is an AMAZING place to visit! Family-friendly atmosphere and everyone is super nice. Fun activities and all the accommodations we needed. Love it. Going back every year from now on! Safety: Safe for families
If this were an adult campground, I would not be writing this bad review…Drag shows are not family appropriate! Children should not be exposed to such! Isn’t a campground’s objective to bring families together in nature and to make wholesome memories? I called to express my concern and they said if I didn’t want my children to see it then keep them at my campsite! They told a friend of mine who has a campsite there for the summer don’t be there that weekend if you don’t want to see it and I think that’s wrong. How about we either don’t share pornographic type shows at the open pavilion? What about the people who are there and may not even know that that is going on and their children see it? We have to be a voice for the future of our children and grandchildren.
We haven't been to too many campgrounds but of what we have been to this is our favorite. We had the pleasure of camping right on the lake with such a beautiful view. It was so relaxing being able to fish right from our site whenever we wanted to. Never had to lug all the accessories around to do so. We were very close to the Aquaglide which was convenient for walking but far enough away that we didn't hear everyone talking. I'm a stickler about being at a campground where foul language is not being thrown around. I may have only heard a group of kids swearing maybe once or twice the 2 nights we were there. The people around us were very polite and no one was excessively drunk like we have seen at other campgrounds. The other thing we enjoyed ALOT was that we could use our own kayaks in the lake. Many other places will only allow you to kayak if you rent from them. I wasn't really disappointed about the pool not being open because it's about the size of our bathtub. The only complaint or disappointment was that the main reason we booked the reservation was because of the Aquaglide. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and the lifeguard called in sick. I know that things happen, however, there needs to be a backup plan. The owner or someone higher up needs to be trained in lifeguarding as well . Campers are paying for services that are not being provided. THANKFULLY, the lifeguard showed up to work on Friday and our children really enjoyed that experience. I would have given our stay 5/5 if it had not been for the Aquaglide being closed the first night.
Hands down best campground. We go to many campgrounds from Tennessee to New York and by far our favorite. The staff is always helpful and nice. Very clean and great playgrounds. It's got something for all ages.Rooms: 5/5
This place could be awesome with just a bit of work. The sites are not as level as we like. Wish the pool had been open but it was closed. Other than that, we loved it here.Service: 5/5
This is the worst campground you could ever be apart of. They money gouge, kids can’t do anything, and they never have the pool open even though you pay for it in your over priced contract. People always complaining about ridiculous things Bc they have nothing better to do. It’s supposed to be peaceful but it’s an absolute terrible experience. Find somewhere else this place is a joke
