Hotel felt very large and easy to get lost in due to inadequate signage. Elevators not in ideal place if you have luggage will need to climb half a flight of stairs to get to front desk. Hotel room was relatively clean 4/5 though there were no trash cans in the room. Paid breakfast, did not try but saw no staff or guests around so I'm not sure how you would pay. Staff issues: Front desk person was chatting with security when I walked up which was normal however after walking up, she continued to ignore me and even went as far as to pull her phone out and begin showing him photos. That night, even though hotel was mostly empty, security guard tried to enter my room, not sure what time as I was asleep and didn't check clock. Latch and dead bolt were engaged but maybe his badge can override dead bolt. Luckily the latch worked and woke me up. He quickly shut the door and a few minutes later the front desk calls on the phone inconveniently placed on the other side of the room from the bed so I get out of bed to learn that security thought my room was empty. Very odd occurrence. Would not recommend, ESPECIALLY for the price.
This hotel used to have the best staff. After this weekend. I WILL NOT be back. We have stayed here for multiple events, but most of the wonderful staff is no longer there. The new staff is rude, hangs up on people, isn't helpful when asked simple questions. Takes an hour to get food. Doesn't open their breakfast buffet on time. Just an overall awful experience. I normally don't review places, but I will NEVER stay at this location again.
Large hotel. Easy to get lost. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast lacks a lot to be desired. Do yourself a favor and DoorDash breakfast. Very nice clean spacious rooms. Area of town is not the best but there are gates up so it is safe. No one damaged the vehicle or anything. No one begged for money. Just homeless people around the area. Hotel does have people patrol the lot. Read reviews about bugs and such so went prepared with bug spray but didn’t see any bugs. Room had heat and air. Water In shower not as hot as sink. Kinda strange. But atleast there was water. Hotel is under renovations.
Arrived at Clarion to check in only to be told they only had double beds available. The hotel is in desperate need of a total remodel. It's stuck in the 70s. It was so bad we did not stay. They were able to refund our prepayment! We were not told we were preparing when we made the reservation. Although the hotel is very close to the airport it is in a very bad neighborhood. We will never even consider staying here! Please beware!
I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you can help it. We stayed here for the ShadowCon 2023 convention. On our recent stay, the bath tub held water while showering and felt gross. Also, the refrigerator in our room did not work, despite being plugged in and turned all the way up. Finally, there were several vehicle break-ins in the parking lot on the first night of our two night stay; our vehicle was fortunately not one of them. We were informed that the hotel was about the undergo a 1-year renovation; however, I can tell by the uncertainty of the staff that there's a good chance that this hotel might be shutting down for good and/or about to be sold.
Place was a ghost town. Took a deposit and didn't record it so I had to deal with that. Bathroom door was falling apart in my room and everything was dirty. I couldn't imagine actually paying for the breakfast they offered lol at 15$ each.
This hotel is under renovation an supposed to be shut down but they are still sailing rooms! No house keeping. We had to clean our own rooms an we stayed 3 nights paid over $1000.00 an couldn't get house keeping. The elevators were Only on one side of hotel you had to Walk All the way around the building to get to elevators. No ice, no breakfast. Night staff was friendly though. Car had to be watched by security guard. Shady looking people going in an out. Wouldn't recommend this side of town!!
This hotel is a nightmare. We visited for a conference thinking we would be able to save on renting a car by staying at the conference hotel. The hotel is terribly inaccessible, forcing anyone who wants to visit the conference rooms to go through the kitchen because there are no ramps. We arrived late and the shuttle never came to get us at the airport. The front desk person was extremely rude every time we had to interact with them. The hotel had no bar, no restaurant, no food, and a cheap joke of a breakfast that was dry cereal, bad coffee, white bread and store bought bagels. They need to shut this entire hotel down and gut it. One of the worst hotels ever.
The front desk staff was amazing at check-in. She worked with our family to find adjoining room. We knew that they were renovating, but our rooms were missing a lot of key items and the pool wasn't finished. I will give them another chance.
