Horrible, horrible customer service. First of all, I have lost 15 pounds since being measured at Clarks. Despite this they still managed to get both pants and a vest that were too small. Now, anywhere else this wouldn't have been a problem. Anywhere else would have just gotten me a bigger size and apologized. Not Clarks Tuxedos. Despite the fact that the pants were so tight my pockets were showing and I couldn't sit down in them, despite the fact that the vest stopped mid-stomach so that the lower half of my belly was hanging out, the employee there kept insisting that, by his standards, it was good enough for the wedding. Now, after a brief argument he did order me some new pants but REFUSED to order a longer vest. Again, repeating, that it was up to his standards for my brother's wedding. When the bride insisted he order a longer vest because I was obviously too big for it and didn't feel comfortable in it we were told again that it was up to his standards and therefore fine for their wedding. My brother, the groom, then asked the employee if the wedding was his. The employee, again, responded by telling him that it met his standards and was, therefore, good enough for my brother. At this point the groom was shaking with rage and had to leave, the bride asked the employee if he would expect the dress shop to tell her that her dress was fine despite her not liking it. Again, it met his standards and was fine. He also told her how it would cost them money to ship appropriate sized clothes so he wouldn't do it. When the bride tried to argue that we'd just paid 400 dollars for the tuxedos the employee put his palm up to her face and shushed her. Now, we had all managed to keep calm up to this point but this tore it. I'll spare you all the details of the numerous other times our concerns were disregarded by the staff at Clarks due to his standards, as this went on for some 15 minutes. Long story short, the bride demanded he order a longer vest or she expected her money back, we began discussing were else we could get clothes for the wedding and only then did he agree to order a longer vest. Acting, now, like he thought we meant we needed a wider one despite explicitly saying at least a dozen times that it was too SHORT! We have never been treated this poorly by anyone in a business ever. To repeatedly suggest that a bride and groom should have to settle for something because it was up to the standards of some fresh faced kid is beyond rude. Something they paid hundreds of dollars for should be good enough despite being wrong. So, to sum up, the staff is rude and inept. They don't care if you're satisfied despite telling you that your satisfaction is guaranteed. They have no interest in hearing concerns. Happy customers aren't worth getting an appropriately sized vest. Not to anyone at Clarks anyway. At Clarks you are wrong and they are right. Stay clear.
