Bethany Cohen is a current Resident Artist at Saratoga Clay Arts Center. She received her BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University and her MFA in Ceramics from Florida Atlantic University. After graduating from FAU she stayed in Florida and made her permanent residence where she has built her private studio and has become a working artist. She has taught Introduction to Design and Beginning Handbuilding at FAU as well as private lessons with kids from the ages of 8-14. Bethany is currently working with and teaching classes in the Kids & Clay program at SCAC in conjunction with her residency. In addition to teaching, Bethany has won several awards and scholarships for her ceramics, such as the NICHE award in Functional Ceramics and The Women in Visual Arts award in South Florida.
