This restaurant is well worth it, and if you can - definitely plan on going. The food is very very good. It's also nice because they have a nice variety but all good quality. I had a salmon dish with curry mango sauces - and it was outstanding. Their cocktails were good too. This restaurant is right in front of the sea lions, so if you sit on the patio, you have entertained throughout! The service was really good too - I would definitely go back.
Always a hit for foodies . Exceptional service. Great for small groups. Parking can be a challenge. Ambiance is great, views, sounds of the local marine wildlife. If there's one issue, it's the lack of umbrellas in the outdoor patio seating. It does get toasty in the summer. Kinda strange why they're missing seems an obvious enhancement.
The food was good but the prices were high. I enjoyed the experience overall but not sure I'd give it a 5-star review. Now if you want to experience sea lions in a very close distance, that's the place to be, and especially on a sunny nice day, you can enjoy their outdoor seating. The staff were friendly and professional. It is a good spot to visit while visiting the Newport area.
Lovely little spot. We really enjoyed sitting out here watching the sea lions during dinner. Our server was wonderful! And all the staff we encountered were so kind. The dishes seem to be hit or miss. The curry salmon I got was great! But the coconut curry seafood stew my husband got was quite bland and needed a ton of salt and more curry. A little pricey but I expect that with seafood. I feel like it's worth it depending on what you get and also for the experience of sitting outside watching the sea lions.
The tastiest & prettiest dish I've ever had. I ordered catch of the day halibut and it was lovely. I had a cocktail that I enjoyed as well. I will definitely be reccomending this place to friends & family. A bit pricey, but worth the experience if you feel like treating yourself or celebrating something!Food: 5/5
This restaurant is awesome! The food is always so yummy also pricey, but worth it, and every waiter I've had so far has been nice and funny! The view is also awesome! We saw so many seals pop up while we were dining! And I can't wait until the sea lion platform Is repaired, as you can see it right outside the window from any spot! Also! Try their non-alcoholic cocktails! I got the blue butterfly pea and basil one, and it was delightful! Not too sweet! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta and buns available
We had a great experience. The food and service were great. It is pricey so this is a place for special occasions. It has an upstairs and a downstairs. The upstairs has a better view. Tables right next to the window are reserved, so plan ahead. Overall, we still had a great view from our table and were very satisfied.Food: 5/5
Amazing food, best in town hands down. Had the Cesar salad with salmon and the fish was cooked perfect. Everything here is spot on, my kids even ate most of their meals. Best fish and chips, light batter and not too oily. The bread pudding desert was also one of the best I have ever tasted. Will be returning back every time we visit the Oregon coast. Worth trying if you haven't yet. Kid-friendliness: Butter noodle dish was perfect, kids gobbled it up.
The best lunch I have had for a very long time! Services was the best. Don’t be in a hurry. The wait is worth it. Waterside seating made for an enjoyable time watching sea lions and birds in the bay. The breadboard with la tur cheese and fig jam are amazing. Grilled tuna sandwich was the best I have had. The clam chowder is very good. Ending this lunch with cinnamon crème brûlée was the tops!
We went for dinner, and several things we tried to order they didn't have. Like crab, in the bay of Newport. We ended up getting the surf and turf. It was delicious! The red wine reduction was amazing. Their chowder was also quite tasty. The brussel sprouts were also quite tasty. Our server was very nice, and suggested I order 4oz of shelled crab with some bread. I told her I would like that. The crab did not come till we consumed all of our food, and there was no bread. I ordered the bread, but waited 15 minutes, and decided the wait was much too long. Asked for the bread to be removed from the bill. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. Only disappointed that we didn't receive our food at the same time, and were left waiting quite long.
