Like others here I also must say that this isn't a good clinic to go to. I went several months ago and told the Dr I had been having terrible stomach pain for over 24 hours. All he did was say I had probably eaten something that irritated my stomach. Never once did he get up out of his chair to check anything on me. That night I ended up in the ER and had to have my appendix removed. Even the meds he prescribed me that day were sent to the wrong pharmacy. I told him HEB on 2nd and Expressway. He sent them to Walmart on Shary and Expressway. My brother also ended up in the emergency with the flu after Nelson had seen him earlier and just said he had a common cold. And this isn't even counting all the other times he's blamed all of my other illnesses on "my anxiety." If you really want to get better do yourself a favor and stay away from this guy.
Worse doctor you can come to if you actually want to get better/healthy. He's a pill pusher and will make you feel like a terrible person for being sick. I had pain in my stomach he didn't do any test not even feel my stomach all he did was give me pills, which helped for a bit. Fast forward and I end up in the er needing emergency surgery for the pain I was telling him about. Thankfully my appendix didn't burst. Please do your research before trusting a doctor with your life/health.
I'm sending this message regarding the schedule given to my mother who's a patient at the clinic. On August 21st Saturday my mother went to San Fernando facility to just get a prescription. The Assistant told her they do not accept any patients without any appointment on Saturdays. My mother and I left the facility today August 27th Friday we went so she can finally get her prescrisption and a different Assistant said to her that only Monday-Thursday they are allowing walk ins and only Friday and Saturday with appointment that they are not seeing walk in patients. The assistant said that those are the rules she has. The Assistant then proceded to ask my mother in spanish " Y por qué no vino el Lunes?" I find it very disrespectful of the staff to even bother asking my mother that type of question without any respect. My mothers job is very strict they hardly let anybody go out the permisses. I feel overwhelmed that she asked her boss for permission to go and have this kind of careless service. On the website they are welcoming walk ins with no appointment needed and I also understand that due to covid the schuedule may have changed. Very very poor service there was no patients at all in the facility all my mother wanted was just a prescription which was not going to take longer than 25 minutes. This is very upsetting because of the staff your clinic shows low performance and lack of communication. I hope you read my message I don't expect an apology on your behalf just to run your facility with more professionalism.
Dr was so rude I needed a reference for a dermatologist & he told me i had to get a blood test because i was "using him" even tho i didn't need blood test, i told him i had already set up an appointment with a dermatologist for wednesday & he said no, to cancel my appointment "you've had this issue for a while, un dia mas un dia menos no pasa nada" i went at 8 am on monday & told me he was busy, to go again the next day just for the blood test that literally took him like a minute. for 1 reference i had to go 3 times. i also mentioned him i have sleeping problems & quickly suggested i had anxiety that i should see a physiatrist but that they're all full & don't have time for me like what?!? & just said "good luck" didn't do anything about it. terrible dr don't come here.
There's a reason this office is empty...The 2 young woman who took my information were nice but i cannot say the same for Dr. Nelson. He was not attentive when i was explaining what was going on with me. He ignored my discomfort when i brought up my concern and ended our appointment. I am very disappointed and still in pain with no answers. Dr. Nelson was not the least concerned with me. This was overall a waste of time and money please go see a doctor who is passionate about patient care.
