The Clinical Laboratory Science Technology and Phlebotomy program at Terra State Community College is a collaborative program provided by Lorain County Community College in Elyria, OH.
Phlebotomy is the skill of drawing blood. 12 month program resulting in a Certificate of Completion and elgibility to take the National Certification Exam via ASCP-American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science .
Clinical Lab is the skill of processing and analyzing samples such as blood, urine, stool, cultures from any body site, etc. for the purpose of diagnosing and monitoring treatment of patients. 2 year program resulting in an Associates of Applied Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and elgibility to take the National Certification Exam via ASCP.
Each Program students are required and placed at area Hospitals and Labs for clinical application experiences. Our current sites include, Firelands Regional Medical Center, Magruder, ProMedica Health Systems, Fremont Memorial, Mercy
Tiffin, Fisher-Titus Medical Center, and North Coast Clinical Laboratories, Inc.
