Clockwork Records NY

Been coming here on and off over the years and they always have some gems. Hard to get the time carved out to come as much as I want to. Brought my three year old daughter tonight because I want her to dig vinyl. She ran around the store and the owner was super understanding and kind to her. Gave her a sticker and she was super happy. Great store and great customer service. Super fair prices.

The owner of this business is a known bully and makes snap presumptions about young people who challenge him or anyone who leaves a negative review all of the google reviews he doesnt like have comically arrogant and aggressive responses, i assume from the owner. Records online are inaccurately graded to get better prices and im pretty sure he deletes reviews there so buyer beware!

Always a pleasure to shop at Clockwork Records. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the trip on MetroNorth from NYC!

As local real estate agents, we can say that many of our clients love that Hastings has a real record shop. We're old enough to remember when the owner opened in a much smaller space and the local old timers predicted his instant financial ruin :. The selection here is crazy. From eclectic Jazz and Classical to Classic Rock and 70s & 80s Hardcore & Punk. Plus, there is a deep Dub section. We have Clockwork Records to thank for turning us on to U-Roy and King Tubby. And sometimes they have those cool little portable turntables for purchasewhich our sons love!. It reminds me of my old downtown haunts: Bleecker Bobs, Rocks in Your Head, and the Rat Cage. #pma

Great selection of Classic Rock vinyl, with informative labels and great prices. Good selection of Punk and Metal, too. Other genres have less rep, and there was a really small selection of CDs, but that's besides the point; if you want great-condition LPs at great prices, this is the place.

Just found out about this spot two or three months ago, but I've been going pretty consistently ever since. Really great selection of records in a small store and all reasonably priced. Bought a dozen or so records from there and all of them are in great condition. Can't recommend highly enough

Attended a great event at Clockwork and the community was very welcoming. For a small shop they have a good, diverse assortment of vinyl. Records for $1 and plenty of parking.

I just made the trip down to Clockwork for the first time, and was impressed. Lots of well curated vinyl in good or better condition. Great variety of material, with specific pressings marked clearly, and prices that are inline with the industry. People complaining about high markups really don't know what they are looking at, and would probably be better served diving through the bins at Goodwill. Not a lot of new releases, but a great collection of vinyl for the casual or serious collector.

A Stanley Kubrick Clockwork Orange theme decoration for this neat vinyl lp shop nested in Hastings on Hudson village. Classic rock is prevalent but there are other sections with good titles too. New lp records are fairly priced. The listening corner is nice with good speakers and a collector not for sale stock of records. If you buy for more than 30 USD you also get a tod bag for your lp’s A refreshing record shop in a charming village.

Great record store, been buying records from the owner, Mike, since his record show days. Mike is personable, knowledgable and he always turns me on to some great stuff that I've been missing out on. Most recently it's Latin soul music. I usually plan on being there a couple of hours for the digging and for the great conversations about music. Store has everything from punk to metal to new wave, classic rock, soul, R&B, Hip Hop and I always find a few things in the Jazz section every time I go. Well worth the trip from South Jersey!!! A++++
