Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro

About

Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro is a legendary restaurant on Aspen Highlands with an authentic alpine atmosphere it is truly a unforgettable experience!

Description

If you’re stopping in for lunch while on the mountain, get into the spirit right off the bat by ordering a warm and bubbly serving of fondue, or baked robiola. Try the raclette — slices of cheese that you heat in little trays and enjoy with cornichons, potatoes, and air-dried beef. Dip into a bowl of hot soup and our other flavorful European inspired dishes. Be sure to pair it all with a fine wine or refreshing cocktail and, most importantly, save some room for the famous sweet-and-flaky strudel!

"This cozy, European-style cabin with a backdrop of the iconic Maroon Bells is a highlight of any Aspen Snowmass vacation. Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro is legendary for a reason: channeling authentic European Alpine culture in a warm, welcoming environment, it also happens to have the most boisterous apres ski scene on any mountain in North America."

We couldn’t reserve an inside table for champagne showers during peak holiday. However, we decided to go there anyway and were seated outside. It’s still an amazing experience - nice view of maroon bell and music. Food was amazing. Our server was extremely nice to us. We will definitely go back for the inside party.Recommended dishesSteak Tartare
It has an amazing view up the valley and not as crazy as I expected. Yummy fondue and good looking options for other courses. It is expensive and hard to get a reservation but the ski in and ski out is an extra bit of fun. In fact, you have to be an intermediate skier to even get in and out at the top of Highlands. It is all about the view and people watching for the afternoon seating apparently.
Must see location in Aspen. Once the last lunches are served the music goes up & the champagne starts spraying!! Hard to get reservations so plan in advance. Still outside if you don’t want to get wet!!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Obviously you have to spray champagne while here. The food was surprisingly really good, and you get the party experience. Had a 145pm reservation and closed it out, such a blast, you'll leave soaked and sticky.Food: 5/5
The food is pretty ok but it's a "prix fixe" $64 a person for small portions. The cheapest alcohol here is $90/bottle. So the music is also really loud and I'm thinking this place is more about prestige and "Aspen" culture so if you're fine throwing your money away for the sake of being extravagant this is the place. I'm clearly not that demographic.
Always a fun time. Make sure to get there from 3-330 for the best apres party.Recommended dishesTomato Soup, Seafood Tower
This place is amazing. The food it delicious and the staff is very attentive. You need to plan ahead and make reservations. Early seatings are best for eating and enjoying the atmosphere and views. Later seatings are for the party.Food: 5/5
Love this place on Aspen Highlands. Nice Apres Ski! Food is good and the DJ plays good music. We went to the 2pm time slot for the champagne spray. What a great environment.
The big party gets going around 1pm with champagne flowing in massive sprayed amounts, be prepared to get wet and sticky. The food is great and the drinks flow endlessly. If you are too anihilated you can take the snow cat down.
Best apres ski in North America hands down. No better way to end your day skiing the beautiful Highlands Peak than to stop at Cloud Nine. Fondue, Veuve and dancing, can't beat it. Reservations fill up quick. Book weeks in advance and do the 2 PM seating. Absolutely must visit if in Aspen.
