I went to big box store to get “fitted” and left with a club that was far too long and not set properly. It was very discouraging on the range when my ball was sliced about ten miles over. Lol. I decided to come to club champion to see if I could have it fixed and I am very pleased. I met with Jason and he was nice and explained everything. He cut my club down properly, changed some settings and my new driver now feels comfortable. I can’t wait to go out and play. I will definitely be back for a full bag fitting. Don’t waste your money anywhere else. A proper fitting is worth it.
James Janik was absolutely amazing. He took the time to chat about my goals and follies in golf. What I’m looking for out of the fitting and overall explained the process. During the fitting he was super patient, knowledgeable and determined to find the right shaft/head combo that worked for my numbers. Our fitting lasted as long as it needed to dial in my bag. Never felt rushed or pushed to anything. Yes. Club champion is not cheap. Period. If you’re looking for a deal don’t go here. If you’re looking for the best top of the line equipment built to your own personal specs while testing the widest range of clubs and shafts, this is the place and James is the fitter. You can tell he truly gets a kick out of seeing you hit it straighter and farther. Highly recommend and will be back, to grab my new clubs! It was truly an experience I won’t soon forget. James was amazing.
The gentleman that did my fitting, Brad I believe, did not listen to me. I told him I wasn't spending over $1000 on irons, and sure enough he fits me for a set that would cost over two grand. Screwed himself out of a sale for one, and ticked me off because all I did was end up wasting money with this fitting. Going somewhere else. Someone would have to explain to me why they sit you down and ask what you're looking to get out of the fitting, and then completely ignore you.
I’m a very average golfer at best and went here to buy a new driver for the first time since I started golfing 15 years ago. John was great and took his time to make sure what I bought was the best combo they could offer me. It’s obviously pricier than buying online but I rather spend the extra and know my money is well spent.
I had a putter fitting this afternoon with Drew K. I have had all different types of club fittings at several different places including other club champion locations. Todays experience was by far one of my best. Drew K was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in a way i could understand. We did some swing path analysis and once we figured that out, Drew put about 6 different putters aside for me to try. First one he hands me he thought id like most.....was he right! Made 5 putts right away and was in love. I tried a few others and while they all felt nice and each a little different, that first one was perfect. Im extremely happy with my fitting and plan to see Drew K this summer to check out irons and fairway woods!

Patrick and his assistant spent as much time as was needed to assure that I was properly fit. I came in thinking that I wanted the new Paradym clubs, but told them that I was open to whatever clubs worked best for me. We tried multiple brandsat least six with multiple shafts for each club tried. The same shafts were used for each club so that comparison was possible. Any brand TaylorMade, Ping, etc that I suggested were tried and as they observed my swing, Patrick selected shafts that would suit my swing and level of expertise, but several shaft brands that I wanted to try were also available and put on the clubs. My choices ended up NOT being suitable for me. The first session ended when I became too tired I am 73 and an appointment for another session was made. This was done at Patricks suggestion when it became apparent that my swing had degenerated. At the second session we retried several club to confirm the first session results and then moved on into hybrids, fairways and driver. Again, multiple heads and shafts. I was shocked at the difference a shaft could make to distance! As it turned out, Paradym did work the best for me but a couple of other brands were very close. I was hitting farther than I ever have before! The drivers in particular were very close. I was never rushed and all employees that I came in contact with were friendly and courteous. I was NOT pressured into buying ANY clubs , indeed they always referred to club purchase in terms of "if you decide to purchase", but I did place my order. More expensive than I expected ,but when the amount of time expended to ensure my satisfaction, the cost of shafts, and the quality of the facility Trackman, etc the cost is understandable and where else can you get all your shafts SST pured?. I am very peased . Delivery is 3-6 weeks, as we are waiting for Callaway to release some of the clubs for shipment.
I first got a full bag from Club Champion in 2017 with Kyle Morris who is an awesome guy, great fitter, and I believe is now a District Manager with Club Champion. I was looking for a fresh look at my bag and I was fortunate enough to get paired with Brad Gehrke. It is obvious that Brad is a golf lifer, having played college golf and he is excellent at what he does. What is great about Club Champion is I made an initial investment for an entire bag, and it was a lot of money. I came back 5 years later and the only thing they recommended that I get was new iron/wedge heads because the grooves were worn down. Brad didn't try to sell me a new driver/3 wood/hybrid, or even new shafts for my irons, he simply did what was best for me and my game and let his expertise and the numbers guide his recommendations. Brad even said, if you just want new gear, we can do that, but you are not going to get much improvement from what you have currently. I'm a golf sicko, play a lot at some great places, watch a lot, I'm not a golf club "gear head." I let Club Champion take care of all of that and it is the only place I'll continue to get golf clubs. No one is better, and Brad Gehrke is great at what he does!
I originally received a fitting and have enjoyed my experience and the clubs that I purchased. Now for service since my five iron shaft snapped and I asked to have it replaced. I’ve had to go back to the store just to figure out what the ETA is and the phone number they give you is not for the store. As far as the two employee contacts names I was given, they have been unresponsive to call me back. I offer one star as they failed to communicate to me while my club is in their shop and delayed and I guess I will have to go pick it up or stop in to see if the shaft has arrived.
My fitting was done in 2020, but I decided to write this after recently completing a fitting at another agnostic fitter in Romeoville at a golf club. I would look elsewhere unless you want to spend over $3000 for a driver, 3W and 6 irons. I wasn't offered any manufacturer options even though they say they do. Just handed the bill at the end of the fitting. It's all aftermarket shafts and then some. You don't even get the shafts that come from the manufacturer, which I'm sure those don't go to waste. It just feels misleading and puts pressure on the customer to buy something they probably don't need. Another gentlemen posted the same sentiments as I did and it looks like he received zero response. I ended up buying a driver from Club Champion that year. I feel its overpriced and was a mistake. It certainly didn't do what was promised. I would have been better off spending that money on lessons. The facility was nice and they offered me a drink!
