We are an award-winning, nationally recognized program with a mission to educate people about mental health and stigma. Created with the purpose of enlightening, empowering, and inspiring those we reach to make a difference in their community.
Since 2005 the award-winning, nationally recognized Community Network Services Anti-Stigma Program, through community education, has been touching and transforming the lives of the people all over the country.
Our unique presentation style combines poetry, music, social media and song. The presentations themselves challenge many of the commonly held misconceptions and stereotypes that often are associated with mental illness. In these challenging times we are committed to educate others about the importance of including the total person, the body as well as the mind, when treating brain disorders. We are committed to sharing with everyone Community Network Services’ mission to “Transforming lives and transcending expectations on the journey to wellness”.
Our mission is to challenge stigma, which is commonly held misconceptions and stereotypes that often are associated with mental illness and substance use disorders. Stigma is reported to be the #1 reason people don't come forward to get the care that they need. We want to change this and to help create an environment in our community that encourages self-care and community support.
