I volunteer here sometimes and I give money to them out of my credit card account every month. And I donate more to this place. It seems to be well run and well thought out.
The workers are All very pleasant and willing to share about classes available and help support the community with classes in support of Diabetes and medicines. Also hand out food since it is a "food bank". Very clean organization and I was very impressed.
The food bank does a whole lot of good stuff for people who are in need. They always will take any can goods that have a good date and distribute to the people who need it. They also have areas where they will accept people willing to help with the operation.
Great people here dedicated to helping everyone in need.
Thanks for your time and help . They are always welcome to come over for your support and encouragement
I did some community service here and I have to admit I really liked it. All the staff there is really accommodating to your schedule. They will let you work late and come early . The work is steady and keeps you busy so time there goes quick . I actually did more hours of community service than required that's how much I enjoyed it. Helping local house holds who are in need are given food donated from different grocers mainly HEB. This is where all the food goes to and from here packed and sent to local communities low in income . This work makes you feel good about yourself , you leave feeling like you made a difference.
They do really great work here, providing food and necessities for low-income families in need. If you're looking for a place where you can volunteer your time and help out in a way that makes a big difference, this is a great place to do that. I went with a group of high-school volunteers, and the teens that were with me not only had a lot of fun helping out, but were also impacted personally when they realized just how much they've taken for granted their whole lives.
Great people always willing to help out. If you are diabetic and can take your medication with you and sign up for the Diabetic Pantry. They welcome you once a month...either the 1st or 3rd Thursday of the month. They give a half hour class with the latest info available on diabetes then you can go through and select fresh fruits and vegetables. What ever you choose to take the the bag limit they set just remember to only take what you can use before it spoils. Great instructors and volunteers.
I don't ever get anything 5 star at the point people donate the way they did the community comes together to Extant certain companies or individuals make it possible I wish the entire Community would do this it's helped out quite a bit and have to see my family for a few more days until hopefully I get on my feet I really appreciate it thank you food bank of Coastal Bend in Corpus Christi y'all are awesome. And I don't ever get five stars out y'all are awesome!!!
Love giving back to the community. The food bank has easy shifts available for volunteering
