Ordered Timberland work boots via online. All the research I did, Coatsville army and navy store came in the cheapest, with free shipping. Not only was the shipping free, it was fast. To top off the great experience we had, they even hand wrote a thank you and signed on the order form. That extra 60 seconds of their time, not only shows outstanding customer service, but made the experience more personal. Thank you.
This store made us feel so uncomfortable. While looking at boy scout uniforms, the employee buzzes back to a second employee to follow around my husband. He looks around a few minutes, while being watched, picks up a show box, and is basically scolded for not being allowed to touch anything. Apparently you need to ask to see anything on the floor. He complained to a second employee, who stated that it was not like Walmart and how they give customer service. First off, customer service would be asking if there was anything that we could be helped with. Two, if it was store policy to not touch a box of shoes laid out, then customer service would be go explain that before hand instead of gauking. The boy scout supplies are supposed to be a set price at all stores. They up priced theirs. We were so upset for this treatment and I encourage you not to visit.
I was very pleased with my recent experience here. Plenty of metered parking on the street I didn't check to see if there was a lot around the back. The staff in this Army Navy store were very friendly and helpful they were happy to answer any questions I had. There is a 3 room dressing room here too, so one can make sure the sizing is correct on the items they are buying. The store has school uniforms in one section and military clothing, military fatigue and some other military surplus items in the front section of the store. For BDU's, there was a variety of Rothco Excellent military quality pants and shirts in many different sizes; patterns included traditional wooded camo BDU, digicam ACU, a darker/greyblack/tan digicam ACU, Red camo BDU, all black, all tan and some others I'm sure there were some other brand names too, but I didn't check They also have a variety of military boots including desert-style boots, shemaghs, some tactical vests and more military stuff I didn't have a chance to check out. Out of the items I checked out, the prices were better to what one would pay online no shipping charge. I'm NOT sure what was meant by "horrible part of town". Yes, some of the buildings in the area are not in the best shape an old bank, and a few vacant stores scattered in the area, and when I went in the morning during the week there was hardly anyone around. If one is coming off of RT30, through Thorndale, one goes through the populated part of coatesville and then it becomes a little less populated with less store fronts and then the army navy store is there on the left looked exactly like the picture online and the street view on here. Great store, fantastic staff, and awesome, high quality products! Worth the visit.
Quality work wear, safety gear, shoes and boots. They have school uniforms and Coatesville school clothing too. The ladies that work here are very helpful too.
Extraordinary place where every bit of stock is selected for quality. Surprising number of "Made in USA" items too. Didn't think stores like this existed anymore. Glad this one does.
Less "Army Navy" More "School Oppression-wear" Bulk of the store is dedicated to generic clothes and school uniforms with only a meager selection of military themed clothing available.
This is the best place for Dickies, Levi's and flannels. Greatest selection of dickies I've ever seen.
Not what I remember from years ago, but it's closed now so the memories will live on from days of old.
