Firehouse 9 was originally opened in 1964 as the 3rd fire station of the South Cobb Fire District. Firehouse 9 was added to Cobb County Fire Department in 1971 after the 8 fire districts serving the county formed the CCFD. Members served out of this house until 2008, when a new firehouse was built on Factory Shoals Road. Firehouse 9 proudly operates an ALS engine in the 1st Battalion for the citizens and visitors of south Cobb County. Currently 15 members are assigned on 3 shifts to respond.
