Like the bread and products but this is the second time I've shown up within "open" hours posted online and on their voicemail and there was a piece of paper tapped to the door saying they were closed early. I even tried to call to confirm they were open but no one answers the phone... disappointed and waste of time.
We just recently moved here from Germany and it's so nice to have found this bakery that does good bread and delicious croissants and other treats
I usually like going to COBS bread and I also enjoy their food but today was different. I went to COBS wanting to get 6 pieces of scone but the guy behind the counter only gave us four, I would assume that he was not paying attention to what I was telling him. He did not clarify the order and he also gave us the smallest piece of scone the strawberry passion fruit scone; we payed 2.70 for it and not asking for it for free.
Usually I have positive service. Today. Was exceptionally bad. Fair enough I came in at 5 to 6.. 5 min before close. I understand if people are tired, had a bad day ect. I asked very nicely for my loaf regular sliced. This takes 15 seconds. I was told it can't be cut. I asked why.. he preceeded to tell me "we shut down the slicing machine 10 min before closing.. I've been a baker and front staff. For this company Also thinking of coming back. You don't shut down the slicer,it stays dormant until activatded. Then told him "I used to work here, that's not how it works" he then told me... it's a new policy. I'm sorry have the rules changed or is this horrible ?#cobsbredroyaloak#thumbsdown
Great bread products and some treats, not a full diverse bakery.
That is how COBS buns look lately. It just makes me mad! You pay full price for half of the product!
This place is horrible. Find somewhere else to buy your stuff. Staff can’t be bothered to show up on time to open the store. This is not the first time this has happened at this location.
I bought a few different loaves of bread there yesterday. I like them all, very good bread. I like the price too. Friendly and helpful staff answered all my questions. I am glad to have a nice bakery nearby now, I just moved.
I hardly ever leave reviews but this was the worst quality cinnamon bun I've had in terms of the wrapper / liner being baked right into the dough of the bun! I'm so surprised since they always had great cinnamon buns. Perhaps it's a new employee who needs a lot more training?! It ruined my appetite.
This one does not maintain the standards of other Cobs Bakeries. Their dinner rolls and buns are always dense and much smaller than at other stores. Once I got one that was the size of a timbit. Absolutely no quality control.
