We provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to our community and surrounding municipalities.
The Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1932 to provide fire protection to the citizens of the community. A few years later the Ambulance Service was established to provide emergency medical services as well. Over the years, the department has grown to provide fire and emergency medical services to over 300 square miles, 3 counties and 10 townships to include, French Creek Township, Canal Township, Wayne Township, Fairfield Township, Greenwood Township, East Fairfield Township, Cochranton Borough and to the neighboring townships when requested. The Department runs with 4 fire/rescue apparatus and 2 BLS ambulances averaging 500 calls per year all on a volunteer basis.
