Cocomo Joe's

So in my humble opinion this is the best biscuits and gravy in Virginia Beach!!!! They had a $3.95 special and it was probably a $12 or $13 meal. The staff was super friendly and I totally felt at home and comfortable...My wife even liked the place....aaaaannnndddd trust me that is hard to do....can't wait to play hookie from work and me and her sneak out for mimosas!!!!

Bartenders would have earned 5 stars, but the locals think they own the bar. Bad vibes from the patrons here, awesome bar staff. From NOVA for a deep sea fishing trip for the weekend.

Being a restaurant manager at a bar, I had the worst experience here last night. Lets start off by saying the bartender had no drink menus. She came to the table finally to take our order, midway through ordering she walks off while we weren’t even finished ordering and we had to yell hey we aren’t finished ordering, which that in itself was just rude. Food came out after like 35mins off of basic foods like chicken Caesar wrap, tacos, tuna bites I believe it was, crab dip, boneless wings, and the surf n turf. The surf n turf was by far the worst steak I have ever consumed!! No salt, no pepper, no seasoning at all, with cold crab legs, and a cook that cooks with no love. Chicken bites, bland! Tacos, bland, and no sour cream or sauce for tacos, like let’s be real. The only edible thing that was good was the crab dip. This was the worst experience at a bar I’ve been too and it was a reason why I didn’t want to go here in the first place. My staff said if it’s weren’t for them leaving to go back to their country it would’ve been a terrible experience to remember! Will not be returning

Great service, friendly, and laid back. Played alot of good classics throughout the restaurant, and they had darts, pool, and pinball too. Food was great; we got the shrimp tacos, half pound burger, and cuban reuban. Drinks were really good too, and the rum and coke had a heavy pour which is always welcome. Great prices, and highly recommend it for a place to hangout and take it easy with some friends, or a bite to eat. Parking is slim, but we walked there so it was all good for us. Cheers!

After a hour we got our food order, well half of it. I guess someone was supposed to talk to me about the wings being frozen or raw and that made them impossible to cook? Never happened. Anyway, good drinks, great entertainment, okay atmosphere and a wait staff that's friendly but inefficient. Potential for 5 star rating for Joe's, I would suggest however not offering a food or table service as the aforementioned potential does not lie here. +2 Stars, the replacement for my order was at the table fast and was delicious! No additional stars, lack of eating utensils

This place has great food. It seems like a dive bar at the beach but it will really surprise you with the good drinks, super sweet bartender and great food. I also won $400 in this place one time betting on football. If you're at the Va Beach oceanfront, stop in to Cocomo Joes!

Food is really good, but all in all you definitely get your money’s worth, especially if there is a live band playing. Think throughout the week like Tuesday or something like that they have karaoke . One of the only places really left at the ocean front with a couple pool tables. One of my favorite places to kick it in the north end, for sure big shout to Tim bar owner for holding it down.

Tara the bartender was great. Margaritas we're good. Here is the bad. Had Philly cheese steak and it was nasty. Chunks of fatty steak. And I got the potato salad. Store bought and had a hair in it. Won't ever go back

This is a very nice and convenient bar located a couple blocks from the hotel.The three of us enjoyed the cold Miller lights $2.50 happy hour 3-7. Haley was attentive interactive with us.Haley made our visit outstanding an experience. Thanks to the chef for mixing up some honey mustard also.We will be back soon.

I'm not going to lie, when I walked into Cocomo Joe's I was very judgemental; I assumed it was a dive bar that would not be good. I was proved wrong quickly. Our service was great and the food was AMAZING. Being born and raised in Maryland I am very picky about the crab meat that I eat but their crab was sweet and plump. A great place for sure.
