Description

Sisters, Cristi and Jody grew up hearing stories about their ancestor Buffalo Bill Cody.
When their father passed away in 2009 the sisters wanted to honor their father with a dream of a colonial store that they had been thinking of for years. With this dream of a small homespun shop came the name "Cody's General Store” in honor of their father Donald Cody.
Both women work full time, so they started Thursday thru Saturday inside Jody's home. The business quickly outgrew the space and they soon moved “Cody’s” to 1828 Main St. where it is currently located.
The walls are covered with wonderful lighthearted sayings and scriptures from the Bible. Candles and novelties surround the store. The smell of home baked cinnamon rolls from the tart burner wraps you in a blanket of warmth.

I am in love with this store! I get most of my home decore here. I can always count on Holly, one of the owners, to greet me with a smile. They have a large selection and decent prices. I try to shop locally as much as possible and this store makes it easy to do so. Need a gift? Swing by here first. Whomever you are gifting to will not be disappointed. They have wood signs, candles, photo frames, realistic artificial flowers, purses, wreaths, jewelry, swags, soaps and lotions and so much more! They also have seasonal items. Christmas time at Cody's is my favorite.
Holly and Jody are the nicest most kind hearted people I've ever met and their business is the most beautiful place I've ever stepped into. They take pride in the venuets they put together and making sure that their store is clean and customer friendly. Come on in and say Hi to the awesome owners Holly and Jody
A unique & special store of wonderful home decorating items & specialty products ! The owners do an amazing job of purchasing & merchandising their products, year after year ! Cody's General Store is the main reason we go to Baker City, Oregon several times a year from Boise, Idaho ! A hidden gem of a store in Eastern Oregon !
