Cohannet Academy provides a continuum of care for adolescent girls who are coping with serious mental illness, emotional disturbance and challenging behaviors. Our program uses progressive individual and group therapies and offers intensive crisis response and 24-hour medical care. Students receive educational services and have access to tutoring and life skills programs while in residence at Cohannet Academy. In addition, our program includes various recreational and fun activities that are specifically chosen to enhance the overall focus of growth and healing. Our hope for each young woman is that she recalls her time here as a turning point in her life, a brief, focused time when she learned to believe in herself, and in her future and for her to be able to access this period of learning and partnership as a lasting resource.
