Cohutta Healing Arts Institute's educational mission is to provide an entry-level training program in massage therapy which emphasizes trained touch, caring intent, and treatments based on a broad base of knowledge.
Cohutta Healing Arts Institute, Inc. provides educational opportunities for individuals who are interested in working in the natural health field. It is our mission to provide a quality massage therapy educational program that focuses on the concepts of a foundational comprehension of the human body, massage theory and history, proficient massage therapy techniques, ethical business practices and client-centered care.
Cohutta Healing Arts Institute, Inc. encourages the development of the individual as a whole. Students who endeavor to complete our Massage Therapy Certificate Program have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skill as they enter into a rewarding career in massage therapy.
Educational Environment
Located in the North Georgia Mountains, Cohutta Healing Arts Institute is located at 29 North Avenue, in downtown Ellijay. Our facility is a self-contained historic building of approx. 3000 sq. ft., comprised of classrooms, individual treatment rooms, a media center, a student lounge and administrative areas. Our location provides ample parking and is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops.
Our classrooms are equipped with custom seating, massage tables, and projectors for multi-media interfacing. Students will have the benefit of muscle and joint models as well as a life-sized skeleton. Our media center contains hundreds of books and massage therapy journal publications. We offer students the use of a full kitchen located in our student lounge. Outdoor seating is also available during breaks.
