The Cokato Food Shelf is striving to make Cokato hunger free. We are supported by donations from local churches, community members and organizations.
The Cokato Food Shelf is available to help support families in need in Cokato, MN by providing supplemental groceries. Families may call the number Mon-Thurs between the hours of 9:00am and noon to sign up for food distribution on Friday. The deadline to call for the current week's pick up is Thursday at noon. Distribution is on Friday morning between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. Pre-boxed shelf stable groceries and a voucher for meat, milk, bread and fresh produce are included in the supplement. Often additional donations of bread, eggs and baked goods are also available. Families may sign up once per month for 6 months (every 4 weeks). If more assistance is needed, we ask that they meet with a local pastor to discuss their situation.
All the food distributed and the money for vouchers is provided by donations from local churches, community members and local organizations. We are not government funded. The food and toiletries given to those in need are based on the donations that are given to the food shelf. If you have donations you would like to drop off, please contact us at 320-333-7877 to set up a time to have someone meet you at the food shelf OR drop off items on Thursdays between 12:45 and 2:00 when volunteers are there packing for the next day.
