I'm curious to know what Colchester officers actually DO. I had an incident involving a group of loud drunk people that I was uncomfortable confronting by myself. The police department couldn't take five minutes to simply drive by and make their presence known. It's 1am, I called an hour ago, I'm still listening to this group yell outside.Edit: At 2am the drunk people drove away. Way to go CPD.
Never touch a dirty needle! A police officer at this location has advised me to pick up someone’s dirty needle off the ground and just throw it away! No! Not at all the correct procedure. Very disappointed in the lack of protection for my children. I asked yo speak to someone else and he blew it off. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed. Someone needs to be responsible for picking up this dangerous waste and if not the police they should know who to contact.
Unless there is an active shooter, you're better off reporting an incident as a fire. The fire department is much more likely to SHOW UP.
Due to several mid-steps on my part, my grandchildren believed someone had broken into their home yesterday, when I dropped by unannounced, for a swim in their pool. Four teens in an upstairs guest room, AC & music blaring, didn’t hear me when I entered & announced my presence. One panic moment led to another when they heard noises downstairs & 911 was called. I wish to thank the professional, kind & understanding dispatcher & police officers who sorted things out. I feel very grateful & very foolish at the same time. When this heatwave ends, maybe I’ll regain full brain function. My apologies to all those I upset. Gail Lynch Dugan
