Do NOT work with this office. Signed a lease, and 10 days later found out I had to move across the state; a total surprise. They kept 1st months rent, as well as the security deposit, although there was 30 days before the lease was set to begin, and they had reasonable time to find another tenant. Cole Concannon was very rude and cold in response; he had no qualms about bullying us into signing away most of our deposit money.
They are very dishonest and unprofessional. I recently rented a small Condo for 2 months from Almar Rentals Donna Causey was the Agent for business. I would never rent from them again, and would not recommend them, even as a last resort. The highlights: No internet and cable as promised. The place was filthy upon move-in, then they charged an outrageous cleaning fee $140, to clean what was never clean in the first place. I discovered that they charge the cleaning fee before they even look at the rental after move-out. Stay away.
If I could leave negative stars I would. The place is a scam looking to collect application fees under false pretenses, lie to your face, and then deny you within minutes of submitting an application. I'm not upset I was denied, but rather because I was told I would be denied for that reason and encouraged to still apply and was then followed out of the office by the agent and was told I would most likely not qualify. They are just after your money. It's not right and I won't stop here. Anyone who has their property managed by them should question their choice in doing business with such a shady and slimy company.
We have used their services twice now and have been more than satisfied each time as a tenant. Stacie Thorsen is a wonderful property manager, always there when you need her, always attentive and understanding and quick to address any issue. You cannot find a nicer person! We highly recommend Stacie!
I called about a house that had just been posted on Friday. No answer as it was 8:45a and the agent wasn't even in the office yet. Left a message with my name, number and the house I was interested in. Didn't receive a call back so I called again Saturday but they were closed for the weekend. Called again Monday and was told by the receptionist the agent wasn't in again and wouldn't be the next day either but that they did have an application on that property. I questioned why I hadn't received a call back from Audra and just kept getting sent to her Vmail. I was told she answers calls and shows the house in the order she recieves them. How is that when I called before she was even in the office on the day the house was posted?? These agents are not doing their jobs and answering messages. Apparently you have to get lucky and catch them at the right minute of the day.
Have been renting through them for five years. Never a single issue. Our rental Villa was super clean and it is that way every time we move in. Donna has been very helpful every year
Pretended to be very friendly and helpful in the beginning, but hit me with massive fines for the everything they could$200 to change locks?!, including things I know I replaced during move out charged me for window blinds although my family and I measured and purchased brand new blinds and installed them. Terrible experience, very manipulative people.
Love helping others with one of the biggest purchases they make in a lifetime. I feel very honored that they trust me in that way.
We were not very satisfied.We had trouble with the rental.Condo association wanted them out for numerous reasons .Almar weighted until the lease was up.Apartment stayed empty for 5 months and not cleaned up.Would not recommend them.
