École du Carrefour

Description

École du Carrefour is a Canadian francophone public school in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia for students in grades 6 through 12. It is operated by the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP). It is located in the same building as the French community centre. École du Carrefour's mascot is a leopard and the school colours consist of grey and purple.HistoryÉcole du Carrefour du Grand-Havre opened in 1991. It took ten years of negotiations in order for them to achieve their vision as a French-only school as it exists today. In its first year after being opened, École du Carrefour consisted of 120 students.Originally, the French school was attended by students from grade primary to grade 12. After the number of students was too populous for the school to support, two elementary schools (Grades primary to 6) were built. These schools were École Bois-Joli in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and École Beaubassin in Bedford.École du Carrefour's main school cheer Nous sommes les, les, les Léopards. On est féroces, on est gagnants, On va leur faire du tort. Avec l'esprit tout habillé en mauve et gris À part tout ça c'qu'on fait c'est en français. Avec Léo et ses amis On a du fun et puis Nous sommes les, les, les Léopards! Student governmentÉcole du Carrefour has a student government called the CJÉ . This body is composed of 10 people in total: a president, four vice presidents, a representative from grade 7, a representative from grade 8, a representative from grade 9, a secretary, and a treasurer. One or many members of the teaching staff play a role as monitoring agent of the CJÉ. In order to apply for positions on the board, the Presidents and secretary must hold a minimum 75% average in French, while the treasurer must have a minimum of 75% in mathematics. Honestly a very memorable place but some of the issues I hope are fixed now, I used to go here and the ceiling exploded beside me because that never properly fixed the water damage making it bubble in the main hall
I got my phone taken away after trying to go to gym class because we needed it for a dance project. When I tried to explain to the teacher and secretary that I needed it I got told come back at the bell. What I saw when I got there after the bell was a very unsafe way of handling it. No name tag indicating it was mine phone or anything. My concern is what if they gave my phone to a different student or even I walked out with a different phone. I think they can keep this system if they find a way of identification on the phone
Its a great school. Every teacher is there for any of the students if they need any type of help. The dress code has also been improved alot. Carrefour is no doubt one of the best schools in and around HRM
It's not that good a school cuz the dress code is SOOO bad like we cant even were a tight skirt so fix that and I hate all the "non bullying" you gotta fix the fact that kids get bullied every day so FIX IT
Pretty lit school, although I wish they put doors on the bathrooms but you can't get everything in life I guess.... Please promote the aide bibliotechnicienne to bibliotechnicienne she works very hard and keep up with the students career choices really awkwardly. Also Shout out to tony teaching me many mathematical chants for PS, Bernier i was right about la vérité.
A pretty good school but they always talk about them being against bullying but when someone is being bullied they’re all like “Oh yeah kid we have to paint the walls we’ll deal with that later”
The dress code is incredibly strict for no reason against things that are appropriate for a school and some teachers put students in trouble for no good reason
i used to go here and i got bullied : mosaïque is better
1/10 please fix dresscode and Y aren't there bathroom doors for guys like damn
Wait a minute this isn't New Bridge
