Colleen A. Dooley, Esq. practices estate planning, probate, and real estate at a boutique law firm in NY's Capital District. She dedicates her practice to providing accessible, individualized, and compassionate representation to her clients.
Colleen A. Dooley is admitted to practice in New York State.
Her practice areas include estate planning (Wills, Power-of-Attorney, Health Care Proxy, Living Wills, Trust planning), estate probate & administration, residential and commercial real estate, business formation & transactions, not-for-profit formations, and title insurance.
Colleen enjoys volunteering in her free time and is a current volunteer with Karma K-9 Rescue as a foster home. In the past, Colleen has been a "Big Sister" with Big Brothers Big Sisters Capital Region (6 years), a Managing Partner for Partners in Dance (a re-grant program receiving funding from NYS Dance Force and NYSCA); a former guest artist and on the advisor board for Nacre Dance Company.
From law school to the present her objective has been to assist her clients in identifying and realizing their estate planning and business goals. Prior to graduating law school, she participated in the Sixty Plus Elder Law Clinic (Lansing, MI), where she assisted clients in preparing their wills, probating loved-ones' estates, and protecting the over-60 population from predatory business practices. In that clinic she was encouraged to engage in the practice of therapeutic jurisprudence, an approach she continues to use in her day-to-day practice.
