The mission of College Park Baptist Church is "To introduce people to Jesus and help them grow to be like him."

Our Lord has given us a great vision to reach Las Vegas. To fulfill our mission, we have a great commitment to the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Therefore our mission is to minister to all people; to help them experience the joy of Christ's forgiveness of their sins, and live victoriously the Christ-filled life. Our ministry is designed to share the love of Jesus with our community. This means you are very important to our church! We ask that you allow us the privilege of sharing the most important Person in our lives--Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. If there is a specific need in your life, or a particular question concerning our church, please ask. We care about you and your family, and we want to get to know you. It is our desire that you come to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and grow in your service and love for Him. We are a church in the heart of the city . . . with a heart for the city.

Mission

How do I become a Christian?

The Bible tells us in the Book of Romans that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It also tells us that "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). This means our sin separates us from God.



But the wonderful truth about God is: He loves us even though we are sinners. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).



He sent His Son, Jesus to die for our sins. The book of John tells us, "The Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14). Also, we see that "Christ died for our sins . . . and . . . He rose again the third day" (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).



Through Jesus, God offers us forgiveness of our sin and the gift of eternal life. In the book of Romans we read, "The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). And John says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).



God wants us to be a part of His family forever! "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).



To receive God's forgiveness and His gift of eternal life, the Bible teaches that we much turn from our sin, which is repentance. "Repent . . . And be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19).



We must place our trust in Jesus alone for new life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).



You can become a follower of Jesus by turning away from your sin and trusting Him alone as your Lord and Savior. You can do this now by inviting Jesus into your life through prayer.



Dear Jesus, I want to follow you.

I turn from my sin and place my trust in

You alone and ask for Your forgiveness.

Right now, I invite you into my heart.

I receive Your free gift of eternal life and

welcome Your control of

my life. Thank you for loving me and

dying for me. And thank You for giving

me new life. Amen

At the end of each worship service an invitation is given. We encourage you to come to the front of the Worship Center and speak to the Pastor or one of the deacons about joining CPBC.

Ministries at CPBC



Preschool Ministry - Because every child is so precious in God's sight, College Park offers preschool programs to help parents raise their children with a strong Christian background. Qualified, loving workers staff our preschool and nursery facilities.



Children's Ministry - Children in grades 1-6 are given special attention at College Park. Bible instruction, special camps, Fall Festival, Vacation Bible School and various other activities help lay the foundation for proper personal values and an understanding of what faith means in our lives.



Student Ministry - Teenage school years can be a difficult time. Our future leaders are searching for answers to who they are, while making life-changing decisions. College Park Student Ministry strives to guide youth in their journey through Bible Study on Sundays and Wednesdays, Youth Camp, Mission Trips, Retreats, and special activities.



Adult and Senior Adult Ministry - Adults are the heart of our ministry. We believe our members are the ministers of College Park. Our purpose is to lead people to have a personal relationship with God, to heal the broken-hearted, to teach the Word, and to train and send God's children out to minister in His name. Special events and programs include varied social events, Ladies' Bible Studies, Men's Breakfasts, and Senior Fellowships.



Music Ministry - Music plays a vital role in all our worship services. Whether you are a musician or a vocalist, there is a place for you to use your talents for the Lord.
