I ordered the egg white delight bowl, I added spinach and mushrooms and I am extremely happy with what arrived. I was skeptical when I opened the package as it looked like it would lack flavor but it did not disappoint. One the most delicious healthy breakfasts I’ve had and enjoyed! Yesterday I ordered the overnight oats and had to come back today to try something new. I will be bragging to everyone I know to try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!
Authentic Cuban Flavor in Orlando is non-existent until now. Today I stopped by my neighborhood and had the most awesome Cuban breakfast. The flavor was 100% Cuban and so was the atmosphere. From the moment I walked inside to the moment I left, my experience was over-the-top. I ordered "My Husband's Breakfast" and it came with a typical Palomilla Cuban Style Steak, Congri, Two Eggs cooked the way you like them and real Cuban Toast. Oh my God ... I was in heaven. My favorite cuisine has always been the Cuban one but until now, I have never been able to find true Cuban flavor in Orlando. Well, that all changed for me today and what's even better for me is the fact that they are right around the corner of my house since I live in College Park. If you are in the Orlando area, I 100% recommend this awesome Authentic Cuban Restaurant. September 26, 2021 Today I went to Abuelita's Kitchen known on the internet as College Park Cafe. Truthfully, I was very disappointed. I ordered an "Arroz con Pollo" Chicken & Rice dish. The Cuban style "Arroz con Pollo" is one that is rich in flavor. The rice tastes like chicken and Cuban seasoning. Well apparently that was not the case today. The rice tasted like plain yellow rice and the chicken lacked its Cuban flavor. This entry today is one entry that is 100% NOT CUBAN. The yellow rice tasted like Puertorican yellow rice. This is the reason that I do restaurant reviews and come to the restaurant in review several times. In addition, my waitress did not even offer to change the plate after I told her. I physically had to tell her that I did not want this awful tasting entry. So, I ordered a Cuban sandwich. Much better but still a disaster. The Cuban sandwich meat was right but the bread was over-toasted and it fell apart on the first bite. Furthermore, the bread that was used was NOT Cuban bread. So sad. Maybe they will correct. April 3, 2022 Today was Sunday and the restaurant was packed. I ordered a Steak and Egg breakfast. The steak was so small and extremely hard, not the typical Palomilla Cuban Style Steak. The Cuban bread was also ... well definitely not Cuban. Everything else was fine. I still can not recommend this restaurant although I wish I could.
Eggzeptional breakfast! Exactly what you want to start your day: eggs cooked to order, hot coffee, comfortable atmosphere.
My husband and I had such a good time having lunch here. The croquetas are SO good make sure to try them! We also had mimosas on the house which was such a nice surprise to us and tasted so good! Our waiter Sophia was super sweet and great. The hospitality was excellent! We had chicken/steak rice plate with black beans, next time we are coming to try the famous Cuban sandwhich!
Yum. What a delightful lunch. I was there yesterday for lunch with a friend. It was a clean place with attentive service. My friend had the Egg White Bowl which he loved. I had Grandma's Chicken Salad with Balsamic Dressing on the side. The salad was one of the best in town, not huge but fresh and delicious. It had Romaine Lettuce not bagged greens and a variety of veggies that were fresh and very good. They had some Grilled Chicken Strips throughout. I really enjoyed it. We'll be back soon. Next time, I'll take pix.
Delicious food, large portions, great coffee. The cream cheese and guava empanada was SO good! Pictured are the pulled pork quesadilla, Cuban Sandwich, and Medianoche.
I’ve been here a few times before with mixed experiences. Today, I ordered coffee, eggs, and toast to go. In the 5 minutes it took me to drive from the restaurant to my destination, it seems the toast and eggs became cold. As a matter of fact, my eggs were so cold, they felt like they’d just come out of the refrigerator. I suspect the person who prepared my food simply microwaved the scrambled eggs. Even food that has gone cold in the car wouldn’t be as cold as a refrigerator. The toast was hard and room temperature, as if it’d been toasted yesterday in advance for today. Also, I ordered this exact meal to go a few days ago, with a different staff member, and didn’t have this issue. Ps: past reviews say this place has Cuban coffee, but it does not, at least not anymore. Edit: In response to the owner, I ordered and waited for my food while in the restaurant. I traveled only 2 blocks once my food was finished. Also, on my visit last week, I directly asked if they sell Cuban coffee, and was directly told “no”. I was not told about the espresso machine being down.
The food is just great. And the service is so personable and welcoming. They did a great job keeping the original menu for those College Park Cafe regulars of which I was one. And then, offering such tasty authentic Cuban food through the Abueltia Kitchen... it is simply genius. I am so happy to have such great tasting, and, authentic Cuban food, so close to home. And the service is so friendly and welcoming. We always feel like part of Abueltia's family. Congratulations on a great concept and great tasting food, all exceptionally well executed.

They ain't lying. Legit best Cuban sandwich I've had. We also tried the tamale which comes with those potatoes sticks on top. Cute touch. Plenty of stuff on the menu to try in the future.
