You will work hard every time you come here, but you will also learn and earn a lot of great martial skills and knowledge! Coach Joshua Peters is experienced as both a former school teacher for children and trainer for fighters, and is about every fighter and student that walks through the gym's doors! The College Park Mixed Martial Arts fighting family is lively, friendly and open, and empowers, uplifts and pushes others towards success, making the students a second family, and most importantly fun to be around! Serious and intense training, but a great example of how the power of community, especially of martial arts in this case, can have a huge impact on people and their mental health as well as change their lives! I always value my time here and hope to make the most of it every time!
CPMMA has been one of the most loving, hardworking communities I've been a part of. Josh is extremely gifted at teaching and his martial arts experience and sense of humour will definitely make you feel at ease. Whether you want to get in shape, learn real-life self defense or compete, for all ages, this place will definitely get you there. Josh has had a great impact on me so far and he has pushed my limits over and over. I love training there and can't wait to go even further!
The Rumble Bees kid classes are fantastic! I currently have three children registered at CPMMA 10, 8, and 6. They love it! Josh was an elementary school teacher for more than 10 years and he is excellent with the kids. It's a fantastic environment. And it's stunningly affordable. I can't recommend it strongly enough.
Dropped in for a class tonight; everyone was extremely welcoming. Josh is very hospitable and has very good technique. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone at any skill level who is looking to learn in an encouraging environment.
My first time was this past Tuesday. It was a great experience. I will definitely become a regular and hope to practice judo with this club for a long time.

He has a gift for communicating steps in technique clearly while guiding students to execute with pinpoint precision. The gym environment is very minimalistic but cozy most important CLEAN! The Tuition Fees can fit ANY Budget. This school has transformed causal onlookers into amazing competitors in both Muay Thai and BJJ! It's even has professional MMA Fighters in its stable. It's even welcome folks like me who've been trying to return to train more regularly. Man, Woman, Child it doesn't matter here. The intimidation wears off immediately the minute Coach Josh welcomes you at the door. This place is just simply INCREDIBLE! I can't say enough about it. The owner, Josh Peters, has been a training partner and a friend for more than 15 years. If you want to learn to protect yourself there's no better person to learn from. If you'd like to compete Josh can push you to your absolute limit. If you just want a fun workout he can help you get in shape. There are classes for everyone here. I highly recommend it.
I come to train at this place as often as I can! It's worth the 45min drive from my house not just because of the people, but because the way Josh teaches seems to click with me immediately whether it's striking or grappling. Man's a Rolodex of Martial Arts. Love this place forever, Josh if you're reading this, thank you!
I'm from out of town Colorado for an extended stay and these guys welcomed me with open arms. I got great work in and felt completely at home. The members that I met are clearly dedicated training partners and the owner is skilled and great to train with!!! Highly recommend!
