The place itself is great and so is some of the staff. Ms.cathy is a no. She's very rude and inconsiderate towards alot of kids feelings she's not nice to all kids and can be very rude. and yes she's been like that since I was a kid when i came here myself. Now she's rude to my kids they don't even go in the kid section anymore because of her. They should get a child librarian who can treat all kids equally. I haven't gave a review because I thought it wasn't worth the time but the way she's acted towards my daughter is unfathomable.especially from the other day. A discriminating attitude like that can't be ignored and needs to be fixed.
There are signs on the doors going into the computer room saying no cell phone use and no food or drinks in computer room. There was a lady across from us talking g on her phone and not in a quite voice . There was a guy behind us same thing only he had his speaker on. He also had 2 bottles of water on his table.I couldn't think about what I needed to do while I was there so I left. The workers need to informed the rules.
Ms. Kathy, in the children's department, is a treasure! We miss going to story time every week, but we still visit occasionally. Thank you for making reading fun!
Im glad they have expanded the library at golden gate however the librarians are very rude and unwelcoming! I was there for 5min and the librarians on clock was following me for no reason and demanding for me to move out of her way she couldn't say excuse me or anything i highly dislike the image they created. A library is supposed to be a place to get away. Weather is a book or you need ro work something online you should feel comfortable to be there and this old grouchy set of woman have created the opposite. I feel bad for the local kids trying to get work done in that type of environment.
Can't give 5 stars as they still have illigeal policy about public photography I really hope that the library will educate themselves about the First Amendment and the right to record in public space as well as no expectation of privacy in public. I am happy however the one illegal policy and sign on no photography has been removed
It's a good place to go and relax, be stress free. Also they have a really interesting selection of movies, series and books. Go see it you will love it there.

Helpful staff. Good preventative hygiene practices in place and they had the book i wanted. All good.
Just the right size to have a hometown feel. Great people, never run out of new books to read.
