Collins Bowling Center, Lexington

First I'd like to start off saying the manager on duty was nice, however, as far as the facilities. I would imagine that this place will be out of business soon if they don't update the facilities. Bowled for two hours for my daughters birthday with two lanes, 1&2 within the first 5 minutes the lanes were having issues and ultimately continues for the remaining two hours. Likely resulted in a solid 30-40 min missed of actually being able to bowl. Cost was 150 for all the people we have with us and only a 12 dollar refund was given. Furthermore, the food......3 large pizzas and two pitchers of soda was 70 dollars. Which is literally double of what I would pay getting the pizzas from places who's sole business is pizza. I could understand and justify the price if they were actually good but each slice of pepperoni had about two pepperonis on it. Lastly, the maintenance crew approached me with an attitude saying hey the light turned off why would you bowl....well how about someone come tell us there going to turn the lights off before we are in our bowling motion rather than just doing it and then complaining like the lanes are broke because of us. They are broke from the beginning and the staff should've switched us lanes from the beginning after having continued issues within the first 10 minutes. There's absolutely zero reason why lex live, Malibu jacks, or any other place in Lexington should have better bowling lanes than Southland lanes. This IS your business. And the sole reason people spend money with you. You're ripping people off with prices and in return the customer is getting mediocre food, significantly less than average lanes to bowl on and a facility that hasn't been updated since 1997. OWNERSHIP PLEASE READ.

We recently visited for a play date for the kids. It may be an older location but they’ve done a great job of keeping it clean. The employees were nice and our family had a great time.

Had a nice time coming here to bowl with friends. They charge either by the hour or by the game. They were actually out of my shoe size when I came, but maybe I just came on the same day when a lot of other people with my shoe size decided to too. Haha. Good deals on beer buckets. Would definitely return.

The staff provided us with everything that we needed to have a great fellowship! A blessed time was had by all that attended. We will definitely be back!! Again, thanks!!

Had a great time here and the food was excellent. The price per hours was steep at $30 per hour. We paid for 2 hours as we wanted to relax, play multiple games and eat. We would go back and eat and play again. The staff was really awesome.

It's not a great experience, unfortunately. The pricing is nuts for weeknight non-fri thru sunday bowling, and they do not offer single games even though the place is more than half empty. Paid for an hour and spent at least 10 minutes of it being moved around as 2 lanes didn't work and one ball return would not return my ball without me shoving my hands in to grab it which is dangerous. Staff seemed very annoyed by me having to use the service button because the ball wouldn't return, pins wouldn't reset, and the lane would occasionally freeze. Bar staff is extremely nice, and the pro bowling/golf shop is awesome with Jim going above and beyond, just wish the actual bowling alley was decent even.

If you want to go bowling in Lexington, go somewhere else. This place is run down and overpriced. We had issues in lane 1 the minute we sat down to set up and bowl. The lane constantly kept shutting down. Only offered me a $12 refund or more time. Don't waste your time here!! The music is AWFUL!

Went on Sunday around 3pm, there wasn't a wait we got straight in. To rent a lane for 2 hours it cost around 50$. They have something for kids to roll the ball down to help them bowl straight if they need it at no additional cost. The one thing I would suggest is the fact that if a child needs to use the bumper pads while bowling that it's available just for that certain person, they said if one uses it all has to use it. The women's restroom was very clean and smelled good.
