My sister past the past January, before she past we had already made the decision to have my sister cremated at Colonial. My sister past a little after 12:30 am, hospice called funeral home, they were at the assisted living home where my sisters had resided within an hour or so. The young man that came out was very polite, professional and made me feel like it was his own personal loss. It was very heartwarming to me. That morning after funeral home was open I set up an appointment to meet with somebody regarding my sisters last request. We meet with a young lady named Chloe, she too was very polite and professional and offered her sincerest sympathies to myself and my family. Chloe took the time to listen to what we were requesting. Chloe then went over the cost and explained to us how the insurance would work. Chloe took care of obituary for us, I emailed what we wanted the obituary to say and included a picture of my sister to Chloe, she proofed it made some professional corrections, emailed it back to me for my approval. That was all taken care of in a day. She also, ordered the death certificates for us. We had my sisters ashes back within a few days. We had a outdoor service for my sisters celebration of life, in the spring. Once the date was set I reached out to the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, to have make service program for me, I only needed a very few. Once again Chloe stepped up to the plate like a champion for me. She ask me my sisters favorite color, and what she liked. My sister loved butterflies and hummingbirds, Chloe started looking through what they had available, nothing in butterflies or hummingbirds. Chloe said she would some more, I told her what I wanted regarding how I wanted the program laid out. That afternoon Chloe emailed hothead most beautiful program I could have imagined. Everyone I worked with at the home were absolutely awesome. Even if we would not have had insurance their prices, are very reasonable. I was able to meet with Sharon when my husband was in hospice. I felt very confident and comfortable after our meeting. When my husband passed away I met with chloe and finalized all the arrangements. Everything was perfect and more. I can't say enough about the facility and all the staff. They treated my husband with respect and dignity. I highly recommend Colonial Chapel for your loved one.
I just want to thank the staff at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for being so kind and generous to my family during this heartbreak. Paul was amazing he made sure everything was right for my dad he was patient with me and my sister and he and his staff was just over all amazing. God forbid death in any family but if there is please allow Colonial to handle all your needs because they are phenomenal. Thank you guys again for all you did for me and my family!
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home located at 5200 “R” St. in Lincoln Nebraska provided an excellent service to all of our family . We. have used them several times, the service and compassion have been beyond our wildest expectations. The entire staff are so involved in every aspect of the arrangements no matter who you talk with at any given moment they are well aware of your every concern and follow through completely, getting the families wishes taken care of as quickly as possible. Our son passed away on 10-28-2021 unexpectedly. We absolutely dreaded having to make arrangements. Our pain and grief was to much to handle. We walked into colonial chapel with welcomed arms and was brought back into this room that felt comforting with a lot of windows that the sun shined through. They asked us if we would like a bottled water then the funeral director Christian Best came into the room. He gave us our options and asked what we would like for our son. Trying to talk through the tears I told him what I wanted and he made sure all of our requests were fulfilled. We did not feel rushed and everything was explained to us. Christian kept in touch with us daily, and we felt cared about. My family will be using them in the future. Everyone including the staff was amazing. Thank you so very much.
I heard good things about Chapel when I lost my grandmother last year. I didn't think I'd suddenly have to go through another experience so quickly, but after losing my mother so suddenly 12 days ago. Christian and his team made the experience smooth sailing and honestly put me at ease working with them. They are absolutely amazing people, super considerate and very kind. I appreciate everything you did for me and my family during these two losses we went through. I would recommend them to anyone. I am truly blessed to have worked with y'all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
No parent should ever have to outlive their kid. This is the worst thing I've ever had to go through. It would have sucked a lot more without Paul and his team. They are accommodating to the needs of the family and willing to take over some of the details, letting us grieve in our own way. They are absolute professionals and fully understand the responsibility of their work. If there is anyone you want on your support team during a terrible time, it's Colonial Chapel.
From the first time we met Paul till the final service we were treated like family. Paul and the Colonial chapel family reach out to us still today and see if everything is ok and if we need anything. Colonial chapel is a wonderful place that puts you and your loved ones first.
My family and I had the best experience with Colonial Chapel. Christian, Paul, and the staff were so wonderful and accommodating. The entire experience was so wonderful, especially considering the circumstances. The facility is gorgeous, so gorgeous my daughter wants to get married there. We recently utilized another funeral home for my grandfather and we paid way more there and weren’t really satisfied with the funeral and services provided. Do not look any further and just call Colonial Chapel. You won’t regret it. I just want to follow up on this review. Since my dad passed away in July, the staff at Colonial Chapel have followed up with my numerous times to check in and make sure I am okay. Today is my dad’s birthday and they even reached out to acknowledge his day. I cannot express how much this means to me.
I had the pleasure of working with Paul and I must say he was awesome!!He made the process of planning my husband funeral stress free. If I had questions he was right on it. The entire staff was great Scott Christian and the receptionist sorry can’t remember her name. But she gave me words of encouragement as her husband had passed away not long ago. I thought I was going to have to look for a headstone for my husband but they work with you on that also. I was happy with that. I would recommend Colonial Chapel to anybody who wants a caring ,easy listening, staff. Thank you all again for the great work!
