As a new employee starting in this field for the first time I have to share what a rewarding experience I had in my first week. First my interview with HR Brandon Rivera was very pleasant. His professionalism exceeded my expectations and he answered all my questions without any issues. Second, meeting facility director Naihomi Cruz, and talking to her about the work I would be doing, strengthened my decision to accept the position of Social Service Director. All the staff at Colonial Lakes have been very welcoming and hospitable. At no time have I felt out of place, on the contrary, the administration, managers, nurses and directors have made me feel at home.
Colonial Lakes has transformed completely from when I started as a floor nurse 2 years ago. It’s a night and day difference since the new management team took over. Everyone’s top priority is the resident and the care they receive. We all strive to make sure the goals are met for the residents and their families. Now being a unit manager, I can say that the company cares about their employees and medical field future. They encourage the staff to grow and continue their education. So if you’re a new graduate looking from a home to learn and grow, Colonial Lakes is the place. Or if you’re a family member looking for a facility that will care for your loved one like our own, Colonial Lakes is the place to be.
I'd like to say, as someone who would go to medical facilities often with a chaplain from hospice of the comforter, the new activities are so filled with thought and fun! They are very engaging and brighten up the patients time! The directors there are so kind, empathetic, and compassionate. It's always a pleasure visiting the colonial lakes health center.
A place that all the staff work hard to assist all the residents with the only goal to make them feel at home. Staff and management works amazingly well together. The excellent work environment make you come to work with the desire to do the best you can for all the residents! Great job Colonial Lake Team!
I would like to say how much I love to work for this company and facility!!!! It is such a family, and you can really feel the love! If you want to work for a company that will love you and push you in your career this is the place !!
Since the management change over, it has been the difference between night and day! Staff CARE about their residents, they actually laugh and have a good time at work now! ADDED NOTE: I still feel the same way, even more so now than before! Our staff CARE about our residents' total well being. I am proud to work here!
Colonial lakes is an amazing facility the staff really shows professionalism . The treat the patients as if they were their own family members. I rate this facility a 5
The rehab department is excellent with a hardworking and caring director! I’ve been nothing but happy with the rehab services here ! I would recommend short term care here
As a HHC Nurse taking care of a patient whom was pulled out of this facility by the family, I am appalled by the condition I found this patient in. It literally saddens and disgusts me to the core. This is a where our loved ones are supposed to come to receive quality, compassionate and trustworthy health care in which they clearly failed to provide. I would never recommend this facility until they clean up their mess.
