Colony Inn & Suites

Hello:Has anyone heard from the owners?Hope they are safe and well. We have bookings the week of Thanksgiving fully paid and have tried to reach out to get refund as per policy we can get refund if more than 30 days before stay but have not heard back at all. Hoping someone reaches out and they are safe

From our very first visit to the island we chose to stay at the Colony Resort original name. We were not expecring what we took away from this trip. The vintage cottages were amazing and we were instanly hooked on this place and the island way of living. Next visit, we stayed in the condos and have come back for a total of 7 times before the hurricane hit. We were crushed to know the storm was expected to hit Sanibel the hardest. It gutted us to see all the footage of the winds and water levels rising from backnhome in Pa. We knew that the Colony Inn was a low lying place with very tropical and beautiful grounds. We are gutted for everyone on this island. We plan to remain loyal to your resort as we have no reason to want to go anywhere else. Everytime we have visited, we have felt important and valued. We even had help from Manni one time He helped in moving all our things from the cottage to a condo room just because we extended our stay and had always wanted to try them out. Can't say enough good things about this place. We hope and pray that you'll be back in the future and are showered with love and many returning visitors. We will be 2 of them and plan to bring more with us to witness what we already know about this little piece of heaven. I am deeply saddened by the worst hurricane to hit Sanibel in history! While I am not coming to Southwest Florida this year, I only miss all the great places on Sanibel to visit! The Colony Inn was a perfect spot to stay while on Sanibel! Everyone was most hospitable and extremely helpful and it was a great spot to stay on the Island! My prayers are with you all and I am devastated as Sanibel may never return to its beautiful beaches and places to visit probably not in my lifetime! The Colony Inn was a great place to stay and I am hoping for the best! Thank you to the great staff and the wonderful accommodations! God bless! Chris J from NY

Full of SEASHELLS!! : Definitely a Mom & Pop joint. Super friendly staff. Bike rentals $15 for the Day. Calm quiet place. Private access to beach. Great sunrise views. If you're not local to Florida Dusk to Dawn you will need Deet spray for the "no-seems" tiny bugs that nip you by the water! Fully equipped kitchen. Shop for groceries before you cross the bridge prices are twice even triple cost. Sanibel handmade ice cream a 6 minute walk is delicious! Our room C55 perfect views of the pool if you have older kids that can swim alone you can yell at them from the front and back balcony lol. Outdoor shower and water hose. Boardwalk leads all the way till you hit sand. I gave 4 stars for room only because we are family of 6 and little tight but it works. 2nd time visiting same place . LOVE LOVE LOVE! P.s came equipped with beach needs chairs,toys etc. Definitely slow pace vacation spot. Hidden Gem!

Excellent place to stay. Small, quaint, and quiet. We had 2 units c15 and c17 for our party of 7. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchens though very small, full size refrigerator, great towel service. Beds were comfortable and both units were clean. Easy and pretty walk to the beach. Beach area by condo is not busy, so that is nice for relaxing. A fairly easy walk to the lighthouse end of the island. We didn't swim in the pool, but others were and the water was clean and warm. Bikes for rent on the property and a short drive to the busier tourist spots. After we got there we noticed one of our rooms had a connecting room, so next time I book, I would call and ask for adjoining rooms if a available. A good value , and we would stay here again.

The room was ready early we had a nice time the room was very nice and roomy everything was included staff was friendly the weather was beautifulRooms: 5/5

This was the second time we stayed here and we love it. So close to the beach, the pool is great, the employees are friendly and helpful. We love the island and the peace and quiet. We are already planning our trip back in the next few months.

We loved our stay at Colony Inn. Our unit 51 was clean, nice furnishings, and well equipped with everything we needed. After a long day at the beach, pool, or riding bikes, we enjoyed a few glasses of wine on the screened lanai- lighted ceiling fan was a plus. Very friendly staff. Direct path to the beach and your toes are in the sand in a couple of minutes. Beach and pool never felt crowded like at the bigger resorts. Walking distance to ice cream, restaurants and small deli/market with conveniences. This place is a gem!

Went for a 3 day stay, would do it for a week next time. Cozy, tucked away, laid back part of the island with an easy 200yard walk to the water. Away from the busier parts of the island, it gives you a feeling of being a local. The condo we stayed in was owned by a warm family, not a big chain corporation. We were there the 1st weekend of October as a reference.

Great quiet place to stay just off the beach. Rooms are individually owned and decorated but all quite beautiful. Small but clean pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the buildings was being renovated while we were there so that was reassuring to see that they keep the buildings up. We've been staying here for close to 20 years and will keep returning.
