CHFA made it so my husband and I could afford a house we live in a 3 bedroom home in a beautiful quiet neighborhood and we couldn’t be happier! It’s been a year and the CHFA process has been seamless. They’re so helpful with everything and really provide you all of the info. We thought we’d make to much to qualify but we were able to get a down payment loan which allowed us to shop in a higher price range. We’re so thankful for CHFA!!!
If there was an option for a negative review, I would have given it. This is the WORST mortgage company EVER! Nobody knows what they are doing, and you will get 90 different answers from three different people. I have a mortgage through CHFA and they will take your money a never apply to the mortgage. They don’t do accurate accounting and then say your three months behind from their inadequacies. For the last 2.5 years they have screwed my account so bad, and when I call to inquire about their mistake, oh you have to put it in writing, and never hear anything back. I would rather default on this loan than deal with these incompetent people.
CHFA is the worst, they are reporting incorrectly on my credit report they refuse to fix it. I will definitely be telling everyone of the terrible experience that it has been dealing with CHFA. My closing had to be pushed back two times when I sold my house because I could not get a pay off from them. They are a mess and have no idea what they are doing.I keep calling and I keep getting different answers.
Could care less about helping get into a favorable loan as a first time home buyer. All this company cares about is making profit. PMI is the worst. They did not disclose we I got the loan that this could not be removed for 11 years. I was never told this information. I in fact was told I could submit after my loan is 90%. I encouraged them to listen to a recording of this information. In which they could not. Do not go through them they hide fees and don’t disclose and hide information for users. I was never provided a document that showed rules for PMI. Customer service has no compassion and act like robots. They will submit things for you but not explain the details. This company is all about making money for themselves vs helping new home buyers understand what they are getting into. Lies lies lies
Waiting on CHFA to let the state help with mortgage but looks like they aren't willing to let the state help me. Looks like they want me to go through them. I was told they weren't reporting to the credit agencies only to find out that they did. I keep getting the run around. They even blocked my account on the website from making any kind of payments even partial. I feel like they want me to fail and lose my house.
Great option, but if you can avoid having to deal with this careless company, do everything in your power to do so! RE the response: taking the time to request a call/email back, is a joke in itself! Currently waiting to hear from a supervisor because the rep won't take 5 minutes to be helpful. CHFA is an absolute disgrace to humanity.
Care to explain why you offer the COVID relief on mortgages and send notices of foreclosure months later? Or why your customer service ratings are disgusting and why we are waiting over 2 hours to speak to anyone with your company if we are already customers? We have your representatives on recording stating there were a bunch of new hires and they didn't know they needed to check correct boxes when offering the relief applications and extending the time frames in which the mortgages would start back up. We have tried emailing you, calling gosh knows how many times and still no direct answers about anything. On hold with your company while I'm writing reviews and emails anywhere and everywhere waiting for answers.
The absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had. CHFA had a lien on my property 2 whole years after the loan was closed off. I called to simply request a document proving that was the case. After two painstaking months and hours of phone calls from myself and my new bank, I was told to send the same email that had been sent 5 times to their research department. This company lacks the decency and desire to help their customers. everyone there including supervisors are programmed to reach scripts and make your life difficult. I'd rather be homeless than use this company again. This company should not exist, trust the reviews and stay away!!!
Loan servicing with CHFA was sub-par. I would not recommend them. Customer service was sub-par and rude. Automated phone portal was inefficient and lots of transfers to other portals. We refinanced with another company, CHFA owes us a refund from our escrow. 58 days later, we still don't have our money. Customer service said 30-60 days to get a new check to us. Meanwhile, our money sits in their account, gaining interest, while it should be in our bank. Shame on them.
CHFA has stolen my money as well as 19 other borrowers and isn't addressing it. 20 policies were paid on a bulk check that was supposed to go to All-State but CHFA mailed it and it was cashed by Bank of America and never received by All-State. CHFA isn't addressing the issue. The other 19 policies were already canceled according to All-State. Mine has had extensions as I've been on top of it with All-State. CHFA said they were re-mailing my payment but charging me another $2,000 that they say I will have to pay back as they mailed my money to the wrong company already and didn't pay the bill if the company they shouldn't have sent the check to doesn't refund them. So currently I have a negative amount in my escrow due to CHFA's error , 19 All-State customers have lost their insurance and All-State still hasn't received the payment. This doesn't seem legal or reasonable.
