Colton Rural Fire District
Colton Rural Fire Protection District #70 is a Volunteer Fire Department in Clackamas County providing Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services. The District protects 46 square miles located between the cities of Molalla and Estacada.
Colton Main Station 1200 is located one block north of Wall St. on OR Highway 211 in Colton, Oregon. Station 1200 is the district’s headquarters and stages most emergency apparatus. District operations and administrators are held in these offices. Volunteer Firefighters respond to the station from their homes for emergency responses. Station is staffed during normal business hours with Fire and EMS personnel. District has a Fire Officer on shift 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Colton Elwood Station 123 is unmanned and located at the North end of the district on Elwood Road. No public services are available at this station. Volunteer Firefighters residing on the north end of the district will use the station, responding from their homes. Elwood stages Fire and EMS apparatuses to reduce emergency response times north of the district.
Colton Fire District is governed by an elected Board of Directors comprised of representatives of Colton’s community. The Board of Directors provide stability in financial oversight, standard policy, and protecting the longevity of the district.
