About

Colusa County Sheriff's Office

Description

Colusa County in the heart of the Sacramento River Valley is in the north Central Interior of California, bordered to the west by the Coastal Mountain Range and to our east the Sacramento River. Untouched by massive city development, farm and farm related industry make up 25 percent of total employment, the highest in the Sacramento Valley. Although the county is interested in attracting a range of industries, its fundamental strategy is to build on its growing agribusiness base.

Colusa County is located on Interstate-5 and State Highway 20, the main north/south & east/west thoroughfares running across her centerline. With our close proximity to the State Capitol, the Sacramento International Airport is approximately 30 minutes south of the county line.

The topography of Colusa County is varied. The 7,000-foot peak of Snow Mountain sits on the County's western edge in the Mendocino National Forest. Traveling down from the mountain, one passes the rangelands that cover much of the County's western third. About 10 miles west of Interstate-5, these foothills ease into the rich, fertile soils of the Sacramento Valley. The Sacramento River, with a watershed covering much of Upstate California’s interior, washes the county's eastern boundary.

Mission

The mission of the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office is to maintain the quality of life we enjoy and to ensure our county is a safe place to live, work and visit.

This will be accomplished by safeguarding our liberties, building community partnerships, crime prevention and educating our youth on drug awareness and resistance.

We are committed to this mission and conduct our responsibilities with the highest degree of integrity and dedication to our profession.

Very unprofessional officer when the auditor was there. You guys work for the public no need to be rude to civilians. Embarrassing video to watch. Finding ways to arrest this person because he is practicing his first amendment right.
1 star to the dispatcher I had the displeasure of speaking with this am. In need of emergency/ help but all I got was attitude from the dispatcher and repetitive questions which had been asked multiple times. Emergency members, and dispatchers should be able to remain calm in these types of situations. Two thumbs down for the lady dispatcher I spoke with this am. Kindly, Colusa county resident
You know i just had to get rid of a very rude post i put on this page because i went to the Colusa county jail i got served a warrent and the Colusa county sheriff department are some good people just trying to make it like all of us . i feel like such a fool for the way i had things in my head . Respect guys . thank you for treating me like a fellow human being! It just sicks to think money controls this horrible word. Stay safe out there guys .
They let their inmates get high, my boyfriend was there for three and a half weeks, when I picked him up his eyes were dilated and he was spun out, the person who released him had to have seen this. No one that goes into colusa jail come out better they come out worse. This is jail filled with some seriously lazy workers that have neglected the people that need the most help. And everyone wonders why no one trusts cops, good job sheriff your running a top notch jail. Think I can file a charge against the jail for providing their inmates with drugs
Very rude and dismissive dispatcher in trying to ask for help or for assistance for a referral for a horse lost day 6 in the county. Very disappointed in attitude.
When I went here for fingerprinting for a professional license, the process was seamless. The office is not oppressive; the process of obtaining a copy of a report is amiable and the officers are empathetic but effective.
Dispatchers and staff are super hardworking and knowledgeable. They put so much effort into their jobs and the county truly benefits from it. Be safe out there and look out for flooded roads!!
Had an encounter with this very poor example of a sheriff/cop. He was extremely rude and dismissive.
