Commando Krav Maga is not a traditional or sport-based martial art. There are no competitions, rules and regulations in the streets. Instead, CKM is a reality-based system designed for the primary goal of survival.
Combat in the streets is completely unpredictable. There are no rules. There are no referees to stop a fight. Most important: There is no honor code as anything can happen. The attacker might pull a gun, a knife, or find yourself with multiple attackers. Thugs and criminals are capable of stooping to any sub-human extent.
The CKM Solution: Think like a Commando. Engage the enemy only if there is no other choice, but if you must then exploit his weaknesses to create maximum damage as quickly as possible. Then rapidly disengage before a weapon is introduced, etc. The goal is simple: Survival. This is the reality of the street.
Anyone can practice CKM. It's based on the biomechanics of the human body. Moni has a saying that if his wife, whose only about 120lbs, can't perform a technique than it's back to the drawing board.
