At Comfort Keepers, nothing is more important than helping people live healthy, full, independent lives within the comfort of their own homes.
Unparalleled In-Home Care
We tailor our comprehensive range of in-home elder care services to the specific needs of each client and family. We love helping seniors and their families create the ideal solution for promoting safe, high quality, independent living. Depending on need, we can provide as little as two hours of elder care a week to full-time, 24/7 care.
We even offer live-in service for those seniors who need help at night as well as daytime hours. In these cases, caregivers have separate sleeping quarters, but are right there when needed.
Comfort Keepers services include:
Personal Care -- that helps seniors maintain personal hygiene and appearance, enhancing their self-esteem, dignity and quality of life. Comfort Keepers also help seniors stay as physically active as possible, assisting with mobility and transfers in and out of bed and chairs. They also help with feeding and provide toileting and incontinence care.
Companionship Care -- offers clients the assuring presence and conversation of a Comfort Keeper, who assists with household tasks, encouraging the client to participate as much as possible. These tasks include light housekeeping and laundry, meal preparation, assistance with dressing and grooming, reminders to take medicine, errands, and transportation to medical appointments, the grocery and other destinations.
SafetyChoice® Technology Solutions, monitored electronic devices -- offer watchful protection between caregiver visits. These include a personal emergency response system that can alert help with the push of a button on a console, pendant or wristband, and a medication reminder and management system that helps make sure seniors take medicine on schedule for maximum health benefit.
Respite Care. This service benefits family caregivers, who need breaks from their rewarding, yet demanding role. Comfort Keepers come into the home as needed to give the family caregiver time to rest, go to work or attend to other responsibilities. Learn more about our respite care services. In addition, we honor veterans by helping them obtain the Veterans Administration benefits they have earned for in-home care.
--The Comfort Keepers Advantage--
Comfort Keepers has earned recognition as the leading provider of in-home senior care for a few fundamental reasons:
We’re extremely selective in hiring caregivers. Only individuals who have a genuine desire to enrich the lives of seniors are hired as Comfort Keepers. We hire people who find deep satisfaction in helping seniors and possess a natural sensitivity to seniors’ needs and concerns. To them, caregiving is much more than a job; it is their calling. Many Comfort Keepers are retired nurses and health care professionals who were responsible for the care of a dozen or more patients at a time. Now, as Comfort Keepers, they find great satisfaction in providing high quality, individualized senior care.
Regardless of how experienced a caregiver is when joining us, we provide specialized training in Comfort Keepers’ distinctive, exacting standards of care, which exceed state requirements. We also provide all of our Comfort Keepers ongoing, monthly training and online training. And before being hired, all Comfort Keepers must pass national, state and county criminal background checks – also exceeding the state requirements expected of us.
Our distinctive brand of care, Interactive Caregiving™
Interactive Caregiving makes a profound difference in the health, well-being and independence of seniors as it keeps them actively involved in life. Comfort Keepers encourage their clients to be as involved in caregiving activities as they are able. And they provide their clients numerous opportunities to take part in physical, mental and social activities they enjoy, such as walking, solving puzzles, playing games, helping prepare meals, conversing and reminiscing, visiting friends, and going places, including church, grocery shopping, concerts and plays.
We’re good matchmakers. We take great care in matching our clients with caregivers who have compatible personalities and interests. We also match them based on special care needs and training. Good matches further enhance the effectiveness of Comfort Keepers care.
A Caregiving Partnership
We approach caregiving as a partnership that involves our Comfort Keepers, our clients and our clients’ families. We give family members the freedom to be as involved in their loved one’s care as they desire and are able. We maintain close communication with all family members, keeping them up-to-date on their loved one’s care, and we offer respite care to active family caregivers to provide them needed breaks from caregiving responsibilities.
